Should be able to make this. Although there are no times as of yet, could anyone tell me if this is an all day thing or evening only. This will help me specify what i need to book off work wise. Cheers to anyone who can help.

The Div1 Masters Competition was played all the way through to the Final, today (as a finalist away on Finals Night) when Adam Bateup beat Nick Brown.
Congratulations to Adam for winning a very competitive days Billiards and commiserations to Nick who exemplified the high standard of play that graced the tables today.
Thanks must go to Lorraine for organising both days of this Competition and our hosts the United Services Club for their hospitality and good food on both days and, of course, to all the other competitors.
This has again proved what a great addition it has been to our calender and would recommend this competition to any other League that does not currently have a Masters Competition.

A game of note was Jock v Ros, Jock had a 9k lead from the first leg and yet Ros beat him with 2 great breaks in the second leg when Jock only had one go at the table....
....Ros then proceeded to chase about 12k from Nick in her next game, and looked determined but couldn't quite manage it.

Just would like to say that the day was indeed very enjoyable and very well run indeed.
Some very good matches on the day. Sparky has already mentioned Ros' superb comeback when everyone presumed she was dead and buried (won,t be underestimating you again!). Also worthy of mention was the match between the Farmer and Darren that came down to the last ball, with andy knocking it in first go.
There was no disputing the evenual winner though. Bravo was amazing all day. Hit 20k past Matt geal, scores of 15k and 16k past TSO, a more subdued 18k(!) past myself in the Semis and then took the final with a hard-fought 10k opener in the second frame to give himself an unassailable 8k lead.
Table 2 was an absolute joy to play on and no-one had bad things to say about the other table either from what i can gather. Very good day all told
Cheers all

It was a great day, with the small bar at USC proving to be the perfect venue for this size of event. 8-)
Thanks to Lorraine for a great job in organising it, thanks to Sparky for setting up the tables so well and thanks to the USC for the lovely curry.
Congratulations to Adam and commiserations to Nick, who was a worthy finalist.
Thanks also to Sparky and Spud for your kind comments, it was a thrill for me to get a PB on the day. Does Bobhall still think I can't get 12k? ;)
