A reminder to all that entries are currently being received for the Sussex Open, which takes place on Sunday 3rd June at Inland Revenue Club, Worthing.
If you intend to enter, but haven't yet done so, get your £10 entry fee plus contact details to me a.s.a.p.
I'll be at the Mermaid Open in Portsmouth in case anyone wishes to give me their entries then, or you can contact me by all the usual methods.

Hello everybody.
This is to let you know that the draw for the Sussex Open will be taking place on Thursday 24th May. It will be published shortly thereafter, and I will communicate start times etc. to all competitors.
At time of writing there are a very few places still remaining. If you haven't yet entered, and wish to do so, you need to get the £10 entry fee to me by then in order to go into the draw.

Cheers Mark,
I can't make the draw fit into groups.
There's 15 second round ties, so I would expect 34 first round to give the other 17. There's 33 first round, is there a bye somewhere please??
Sav.

Hello folks, thanks to Sav, Pete Farrelly & Nigel S for being observant.
The Paul Wood v Doug Dawson match is a second round game, not first round as appears in my posting. As Nigel suggests, the winner of this tie does indeed play the winner of Martin Smith v Mal Spier in the next round. The draw was done correctly, the error is merely in my transcribing of it from the spreadsheet to this forum, so no harm done, fortunately.
But thank you all for paying attention :)
I'll edit my original post now so that it is correct..

Good to see several Channel Islanders - from both Guernsey and Jersey - taking part.

Just because one of our Aurigny pilots spotted something strange. The phenomenon could have been a lot of hot air over the proposed Sales tax which Jersey is adopting - but not us here in Guernsey - He He !

It should soon be available to see on the Sussex website, Beefy.
Click on the link given on the "Links to other Bar billiard Sites" thread on this (General) board.
Afterwards, no doubt Sav will copy the information on to the AEBBA website............
............and then the natural progression will be for the current British rankings to be updated by Nigel as a result.

After the landing we had at 5:05 it felt as if we had been shot up into outer space. The plane came down so hard the oxygen masks all came down and then we went back up and circled for about 15 mins and then tried a second landing, this time the pilot got a round of applause. Thank god the landing gear was still in good order!!!
