The Kent Classic played yesterday ( 15th July ) at the 6 in 1 club in Tondridge and here are the results.
Winner Nigel Senior Sussex Runner up Paul Sainsbury Berks
Plate Winner Chris Saville Kent Runner up Martin Leach Kent
Highest Break Keith Sheard Oxon 20200
Furthest Lady Pauline Withey Oxon
Congratulations to all those who won, and those who came so close, and also to all the other players who turned up on the day to make the competition.
Last week saw the Tour de France come through our county, and several roads closed off by the police for the race, which included the roads immediately surrounding the 6 in 1 club. That was quite a success, and the quality of Bar Billiards yesterday, was, as usual, outstanding, which contributed hugely to the success of the Kent Classic. I hope you all arrived home at a reasonable hour, and safely, and we in Kent, and Peter Sainsbury and the Organisers of the Kent Classic hope to see you all back here for next year's competition.

Sorry Dave, I posted my report in another Kent Classic section before I noticed yours. !! :o Easily overcome with a bit of moderating skills, hopefully. Talking of which............Forum Board Directors excel in Kent Classic !! Sav the Winner of the Plate, Nigel the Winner of the Main Competition. Sparky, there's hope for you yet !! ;D Thanks to the organisers for a super day. (And as an aside comment, great to get home without clothes reeking of smoke.)

(And as an aside comment, great to get home without clothes reeking of smoke.) As you mentioned clothes first Tommo - obviously I would never have brought the subject up myself!!! :P - just to wheat your appetite - but we have a great picture of your knobbly knees and Claire socks. I'm waiting for technical help from Mick to upload it and then it will be posted for your viewing pleasure!!!!!! ;D It was obviously my day for knobbly bits yesterday. I had a very "tempting" offer from Sir Jock to prove that his avator was NOT a picture of his - well you know what. But I just about managed to talk him out of it!!!! 8-) My thanks also to all the organisers. It was a great day.

Keith
Always better to have 2 ( or more ) reports than none at all.
PS thanks for the drink, and I will return the honour in Jersey.

A word of thanks from me to the Tunbridge Wells and Medway boys for the excellent help in taking down the tables. I've never had a 'tables' traffic jam at the trailer before ;D
I managed the short 65 mile hop home across the county OK despite the monsoon getting in the trailer electrics and making it look like a Christmas Tree!

It was a great days bar billiards yesterday, and I can't quite believe that I have won 2 out of the last 3 opens, so I am dead chuffed.
It was also great to see a lot of people still around for the final, and also staying for the presentations.
Well done to the Sainsburys, Dave May and helpers for their smooth running of the day, and Sav (plate winner) for providing his excellent tables.
I am now busy with my new lego set, which I won on the raffle.
Hope to see most of you at the Bucks Open
PS Milko was well chuffed that he picked the winner and the runner up and was convinced he would have won the tipsters this time. I haven't posted the results yet, but I have to give him the sad news that he only place 6th out of 9. Who won? Lets just say some smart arse picked Bill Kerr and made it 4 tipster wins out of 4 ;)

Nige - thanks for the pic, it looks really good. No wonder so many people wanted to win it. I'll see what I can come up with next year!

Nige, Next game at the PBT, make sure you bring the lego.... then we can play!!! :0 Well Lloydy, funny you should say that, according to the book that came with the lego, the end part of the ferrari truck can be built into pit garage, so there is work to be done ;)
