Mens Doubles, and Ladies Doubles, to be held on Saturday 13th January 2007.
Mens Singles, and Ladies Singles, to be held on Sunday 14th January 2007.

The entry fee is £2 per player per competition entered, cheques to be made payable to S.C.B.B.A.
The deadline for entry for the Jan. comps is Tuesday 19th December.
Deadline for other 3 comps is Sunday 14th January.
To enter, please contact me by the usual methods. I'm not going to publish my telephone numbers/postal address here, but if you don't have any other means of reaching me, post here or PM me on this forum.
Can I please urge interleague captains (or indeed anyone else, for that matter) to actively encourage your team-mates to enter, when you play your next match.
Mark, Competitions Secretary

petem.
Anyone can enter these competitions as long as they are a member of a league affiliated to S.C.B.B.A. This includes Worthing league of course.
The age requirement for Seniors for this years comp. is that you must be 50 years or over on 1st Jan 2007.
You certainly won't make a fool of yourself if you enter any of these comps. this time around, I'd recommend you to have a go.
I'll be at the Downview over this coming weekend for the Worthing Masters & off-the-spot competitions, if you are there come and have a chat and I'll explain more about these competitions.

Please note that, due to unavoidable circumstances, the venue for the forthcoming Sussex competitions on 13/14 January has been changed from Hurstpierpoint S.C. to the DOWNVIEW, WORTHING.
Format for the weekend will remain as usual.
Let me also take this opportunity to remind those of you who have not yet submitted your entries to do so immediately.
Entries must close on 19th December to enable playing formats to be drawn up.
So, if you've not done so already, please get in touch with me to enter.

An update for you. Entries for the singles & doubles to be held at the Downview on 13/14 January have now closed. We have 46 competitors for the Mens Singles, 7 for the Ladies Singles. There are 23 pairs in the Mens Doubles & 3 in the Ladies Doubles. Playing formats have been devised, a huge thank you to Steve Mariner for his invaluable work regarding this. The draws for these competitions will take place on Friday 29th December, conducted by myself and County Sec. Alan Messer. First matches on both days will be at 12:00 noon sharp, but if you want to see your own personal start time, these will be made available on the www.sussexbarbilliards.com website when the draw has been done. As far as the other competitions are concerned, i.e. Mixed Doubles, Captains Cup & Seniors Singles, I will continue to accept entries for these up until 14th January. Those that have reached the minimum threshold of 8 entries (none have so far) will then be organised, to be played on neutral league tables during the Spring of 2007.

Hi Mark,
Unfortunately Gareth can't make the doubles now, so it looks like team Reeves will be back in action!
I assume it is ok for my dad to take Lloydy's place?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi everyone
Should be a good weekend of competition at the Downview - some fierce tests for one and all in what must be one of the hardest singles titles to win in the whole country.
Flannel over - now for the serious bit - we will need some helpers to bring in the tables and help with the setting up on Saturday morning at the Downview from 9.00 onwards. If you can help give either myself or Mark a ring. thanks in anticipation.
Cheers
Alan

There remains a space for one pair in the Mens Doubles tomorrow.
This is available to the first pair to contact me.
If you don't have a partner, but fancy having a go, why not turn up at the Downview for 12:00 Saturday?
It will only take one other likewise soul to do so and you could be in the tournament.
