Greyhound v Brewers Arms Hard to predict, as could be one of those evenings when luck takes a hand. A Trevor to star on each side with the Arms maintaining their recent run of form and managing a 3-2 win. Plough Lower Beeding v Hurst A The Hurst have enough firepower to win this, especially as they have two who use it as a home venue on Tuesdays. I reckon 1-4. Mill House Z v Laughing Fish Table will play magnificently having been left in the bar overnight. 8-) 4-1 to the Zeds with Henry hitting 20k - Hmmmm - maybe I should draft 'secret weapon' John Turner in for this one! ;D ;D ;D Woolpack v Plough Plumpton Plough will bounce back from last week's disappointment with a 4-1 win. United Services Club v Eight Bells I reckon the away team will win a close match, but who will win the battle to get to the food first? My money's on Robbie the Buffet Slayer, with the home team second and Ros a close third. :D Hurst B v St Francis Not usually a happy hunting ground for the Frannies. Heartbreak again with the B's winning 4-1. Brewers Bravos v Watermill B Yet another home team 4-1 win, with good scores from Spud and Bravo. Watermill A v Horns Lodge The Lodge got a thrashing last week and they'll get another one tonight. 5-0.

[/quote] I would normally agree with you there Tommo but you will have to be quick off the mark to get a sarnie as the club have cut back on the quantity although they do provide a nice cheese board. you need some of aunty Ros's buffett skills ;D

United Services Club v Eight Bells I reckon the away team will win a close match, but who will win the battle to get to the food first? My money's on Robbie the Buffet Slayer, with the home team second and Ros a close third. :D Are you suggesting that the entire home team will get to the food before me, Tommo? :o We aren't expecting Robbie the Buffet Slayer at this match, but instead we expect to have an equally skilled refreshment demolisher: Nick - "I've come straight from work and haven't eaten yet" 8-) you need some of aunty Ros's buffett skills ;D My buffet creation skills will be tested to the max this Sunday, when Mid Sussex 'B' entertain Worthing 'D' in the rearranged interleague. I'm reliably informed that Robbie the Buffet Slayer will be playing for Worthing 'D'. ::) It's a shame you'll be in Dorset, Ian - I have a very fine spread planned. :)

Hope any one who backed my tip, State of play, did it each way. Jumped round ok, despite twice been hampered by fallers, and stayed on to grab 4th. Just completed my 35th consecutive National Thetiredone

Here you are, Ian. I don't have the scores though. Mid Sussex 'B' 4 Worthing 'D' 3 Paul J* lost to James Whittle I won against *Lorenzo Hickman Spud lost to *Chris Oakley Darrell* lost to Rob Driver Geoff won against *Dave Collins Darren won against *Chris Cox Steve* won against James Osborne The table was very fast, very whippy and uncharacteristically had quite a roll on it. Quite a few scores lost through balls missed or white pegs taken out on the way up the table. :o No scores over 5k until Steve put in 8k at the end to show us how to play it! 8-) I think that puts us in 2nd place :) But in order to get promotion, by my back of an envelope calculations (and possibly not even on the right basis!) I think we would have to do 7 - 0 over Brighton 'C' and Redhill 'B' would have to lose 7 - 0 to Worthing 'D' and we would probably have to do something dramatic to our player averages! ::) Edit: No scores over 5k until Steve put in 8k at the end to show us how to play it! 8-) Oops, sorry, got that wrong. ::) Trevor has now posted the full scores on the Sussex board and Chris Oakley got a 5.5k.

A good evening with the 8 Bells team and they deserved the win, but some humour made it a good evening none the less ;D
