Oh Clive Oh Clive Oh Clive.....
Did you not think I would leap upon this?
Last wednesday out of the 10 players in the room, many of which are quality and experienced players, you were the only one who could play on that table. Do you really think that merits a jump of 2 spaces? Other than your own score, not one single player was able to get anything close to their normal standard of play on that table. It was quite heavily uphill and right. I mean, when was the last time Mr Daniels took the black peg out?!!! I will fully admit, as I did on wednesday, that the mill house table can and has played very well in the past, and with a fair bit of practice would probably playable the way it was, but still....come on!!
This is all in good nature I stress, I just couldn't not say something!

H hurst drops 2 places to be honest it would drop more when tommo loses on it on wednesday this year has not been a fair reflection of the table ladder at all by any means. but that is life

Blimey, I have a couple of days out, come back, and all hell has broken loose!
To Henry, I'd say that the Mill House mirrors the Laughing Fish, in that your table's elevated position has been largely courtesy of your own huge scores on it (and no-one else's!) - but I've taken that as a positive, because at least it shows that high-scoring IS possible on it. I'd like to see you get that many on the Greyhound, for instance! Also, you and I discussed the differences on the night, and we agreed they have completely opposite tendencies, the Fish being downhill with a marked left hand roll.
To Bob, I'd say you remind me of Snow White's Wicked Stepmother! ;D Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all ? ..........all right all the time the answer's The Hurst Table - but taking it as a personal affront when it's not.
........and to both of you, a reminder that this was not supposed to be taken too seriously, there's no awards resting on it, but it remains as a challenge - one to which Sparky and his USC table have risen to admirably, up from 12th to 5th in the second half.

Im just having a bit of banter and airing my views Clive. Dont take it too seriously :P
I agree about the fish table, but I wouldn't expect it to get near to the number 2 spot!!

Bottom line, H, is, we all see things slightly differently. And sometimes tables play well for some visits and bad for others.
For instance, I very much enjoyed playing on the Plough Lower Beeding the last time I was there, though nobody else has a good word to say about it. But the scores on it recently fully justify its recent elevation IMO - and that's without any help from me, as my recent game there was in the Horsham league. :-/

You have obviously been listening to Mr B and only have his side of it. ::) tommo

i wanted the table ladder to be done fairly and openly but i am sorry this year this is no what has happened at all and it is a shame that certain people would rate a top that way and i think it shows what they are doing in the evidence.

Week 27 - 27/04/2011 Plough Lower Beeding v Watermill A Plough will take this one and Norman will not be happy. Mill House Z v Brewers Arms The hot weather should help the home top, and the Zeds with the foot off the pedal could succomb 2-3 but with some good scores on both sides. Woolpack v Hurst A Rumours of a new top here, so a 5-0 win to Hurst not being beyond them. United Services Club v Laughing Fish - match postponed USC's form has been up and down all season, but the Fish usually come on strong towards the season end, so 4-1 to them. Hurst B v Plough Plumpton Plough are used to a long bar, so should cope okay with the extra time allowance. 4-1 to them and 10k from BBWarrior. Brewers Bravos v Eight Bells Table should suit the Bells and I think they'll grab a result - just ! Watermill B v St Francis T'mill have grown in confidence recently, but think that Mad Dog will inspire his team to an away victory by the odd game. Greyhound v Horns Lodge Two sociable sides, and a good close match, the Hound just edging it.

Only me PLB 2 Watermill A 3 Norman can't stop telling everyone how much he luuuuuuvs the table.
Millie Molly Moos 3 Brewers Arms 2 No let up from the champs. Game scores will be scrutanised by some.
Woolie 1 Hurst A 4
otherclub 3 Fish 2, when played Fish in the relegation mire.
Hurst B 2 PPG 3 Much will be made of the scores in this one. If you want my opinion of the Hurst table.......................................................................... you are out of luck, never comment, enjoy playing better.
Bravos 2 8 Bells 3 Much needed win for the bells. Just stay above the drop zone. Still got a tricky trip to Saints.
Watermill B 1 Saints 4 The rabid mad dogs are off to Worlds End for a bite to eat, and yes, they intend to go Dutch.
Hound 4 Horny Lodge 1 Hound get the win, helped by the fear of the drop. With the winners decided early, the 2nd relegation spot is the battle to be in.
