4 man Saints lost 3-2 to the Horny Lodge. TSO and Peter Geal won. neil Henry felled the black late on when ahead. Enjoying A bottle of Badgers England's Gold, bit flowery and gay, then Bedders Nighty Night. p.s. Roger of the youth academy left hospital today, good news.
A bit late but...........
Hooray hooray it's the first of May. Outdoor bonking begins today. Enjoy TSO

Watermill A 3, Mill House Z 2
Geoff Rose 2570, Graham Daniels 7670 John Staplehurst 3360, Alan Downs 2660 Chris Nikolaj 2550, Mick Holmwood 6970 Norman Cragg 8620, tommo 1080 Kim Stenning 3730, Barry Timson 3270
Really nice table tonight, all games should really have gone with break but Barry's was a tragicomedy: firstly uncharacteristically potted the break four times whilst on a 3k break, and following Kim's good 3k reply, pulled himself right back into the frame only to leave the one-up short just as he drew level. He'll be kicking himself all the way home, poor fellow.
Excellent 8220 opener from Norman against me. Some good banter, and a nice selection of sandwiches.

PLOUGH PG:3 BREWERS BRAVOS: With the senior members of the team away on holiday, the Brewers brought in some new faces to blood.
Dave Knight:5660 Piers O'sullivan:530 Just Piers' second match this season and was unfortunate to peg his opener after finding the break easy enough. Dave hit a late 4k to take this beyond our man.
Dave Ingram:7720 Nikki:1890 The warrior amassed enough to take this one well but Nikki played well at the back to retrieve the break on 4 occassions.
Chase:4440 Toby Hinkins:850 Son to Jan, cousin to Nikki, Toby was drafted in late to play his first competitive match. After a nervy start he found the break shot well mid-frame but could not keep it going. Chase pulled away slowly to seal the match.
Jan:3090 Spud:3880 Jan led off with 2k but i clawed my way back with a couple of small goes on break to edge it at the end. Both of us felt we could have done more on a lovely top.
Darren:5910 Bravo:9060 Bravo had enjoyed this top in the singles recently and opened up with 8k to threaten a huge score. Darren was having none of it and fought back superbly with two 3kish breaks to end the evening well.
Another jolly evening at the Plough, nice and relaxed with some excellent chilli to boot.
Cheers all.

Eight Bells 3 - Watermill 'B' 2
Ros 2240 - Gavin Boyd* 3130 Denise* 780 - Andy Garwood 1550 Doug 3720 - Paul Blackburn* 2070 Tony D*1620 - Mark Ridley 90 Nick 6200 - Gavin Offord* 740
A rather vigorous pull of the handle in game 3 moved the table by quite a distance - resulting in an uncharacteristically tricky break, which even took Doug a couple of goes to get sussed. :o Needless to say, the table was pushed back before the fourth game!
A good evening, as always with the Bees, although the Flying Dutchman was AWOL playing golf ???
A plentiful and tasty chilli was supplied by the Bells.

Hurst 'A' 4 - 1 HH USC
Pete Edwards 980 - 4700 Andy Guy Special mention that Andy lost his opening break of 3k which would have put him up for 8k and his play would have deserved it, well done.
Kev Hall 6370 - 3140 Sparky
Pete Hall 5440 - 620 Ron Wales
Lorraine Hall 4510 - 1390 Mick Kirwan
Jenny Edwards 4820 - 1140 Terry Gasson
We could have done better but the Hurst team fully deserved the win. Good evening and enjoyed the company.

The 'missing' write-up, courtesy of the Old Fella:
Brewers Arms 5, Woolpack 0 Brewers Arms look very good to take the division 1 title and will definitely return to the Premier division next season. Lyn Storr put up strong resistance for the Woollies in frame 1 but Derek Taylor did just enough to take it. 7K from The Farmer proved to be too strong for Malc Fuller and the home side went 2 up. A 6k for Trevor Greenyer against Anne Stockinger and an 8K for Dilly against Jan Hinkins took frames 3 and 4 and the match. Richard Jeffrey took the last and applied the brush when beating Nigel Bransby.
