St Francis 1 - Eight Bells 4
Bob Ellis 1220 - Doug* 3240 Shaun* 6700 - Trevor 590 Mat Geal 2510 - Nick* 8060 (6.4k break) Chris Little* 1500 - Ros 2740 Peter Geal 1750 - Tony D* 2210
Absolutely nothing wrong with this table - as Nick and Shaun's good scores show. It was a night where nobody made more than a few hundred on their opening breaks, but Doug, Nick and Shaun made up for it later, whereas (thankfully) I was able to punish Manley Harveys for giving me a chance. Game of the night was the last, which was neck and neck all the way to the bar.
Lots of good laughs with the Saints - hope we haven't doomed them to relegation. :o Lovely platters of well filled sandwiches, which went down very well. 8-)

1 relegation issue outstanding, everything else decided. I think you will find that the wooden spoon is still up for grabs. A whitewash for the Woolie at the Hound next week would get them 8. 5 points. GO WOOLIE GO. Thank you Ros for your kind comments, fun evening and good to finely meet the Swan menace, shame Bob was unable to cull it, bring some lead shot next year. Well played Nick, who threw caution to the wind, and well played me, who played with a huge amount of caution. Different ways of doing things.# Back to bedders TSO

Game 3 saw Paul finding a few pegs. Solid play from darren for the win.
Gavin on top form in Game 4 with some good breaks - Rob was a bit unlucky on several occasions.
Game 5 started with a good break from Dave, Mark struggled with the positions and ventually BP'd.

The three 'missing' writeups, as provided by the ever-dependable Old Fella:
Woolpack 2, Watermill A 3 Mathematically, Woollies could move ahead of Horns Lodge next week but we’ll have to wait and see. They edged a bit closer to the Lodge following their match against the A Team. John Staplehurst put the visitors 1 ahead as Nigel Bransby black pegged but a Lyn Storr demolition of Big Norm evened it up. Malc Fuller took frame 3 from Geoff Rose and Woollies moved in front. A 3k break for Kim Stenning helped him to a 6K score over Anne Stockinger and the match was level again. Into the deciding leg where Chris Nikolaj was just too good for Jan Hinkins.
Brewers Bravos 2, Laughing Fish 3 A home defeat for Bravos against the Laughing Fish gave then no chance of promotion next season. Fish’s skipper Ray Carpenter took the first from Toby Hinkins bur Ricky Dewdney hit 8K in the next to defeat Keith Fantom and level things. An Andy Brooks 6K was too much for Nikki Hinkins and the Fish regained the lead followed by a 9K from Aitch against Spud Spurrier to claim the match. Last blood to Bravo whose 5K took the last frame from Les Whiteman.
Plough L/B 4, Horns Lodge 1 Plough LB remain of the bottom of the premier despite a good home win over the Horns Lodge, Mark Webber took a close first leg from Tom Massey and Mark Palmer lost the next to Geoff Parsons. Kieran Budd black pegged in the third to give Dave Tiffin a point but a Steve Whyte win against Roger Dudman in the fourth gave Plough the match. Steve Visor proved just a little too good for Kevin Stevens but it won’t be enough to keep Plough up.
