Just checked them all, these are all up to date. Thanks for that, I shall advise as soon as I know anymore as there are 3 more pubs in Norwich actively looking to buy tables.
Thanks again Carl

That's great news Carl, because we knew they had been after a table for some time..........There is a thread on your Board called "Norwich landlady seeks bar billiards table". This is the opening post on that thread:

oooooo! Sorry, only just seen your reply Tommo. That's right, that article is quite old now, to the point where the pub has been taken over twice since then. The new landlord seems really keen to get things going in there now though, so hopefully he's a stayer! Ive attached a photo of the table just in case you have any idea of what make it is? Take no notice of the front, as the front cover had to be changed for whatever reasons? The back board looks to be genuine, the points over the back pockets are 10 20 30 20 10, so looks to be a 4-pin table. Attachments:

It looks very much like the Chandlers Ford SAMS table shown on the thread "Narrow Tables FAO the Norwich League", but can't be surely as the eBay auction only ended two days ago ! Unless someone has a time machine.... :-/
Nice looking bit of kit. Does it play well ?

Lin & myself visited this pub on the friday night and I played a game or two on the table and it played very well. The landlord seemed keen and even paid for my games but we ended up moving around the other side of the bar because it was less busy and quieter due to the karaeoke. Left there at 12.15am on the Sat after four pints of John Smiths. 8-) The photo disappeared when I quoted the post above! It is the Leopard Pub.

Hi Tommo, Yes we know about this one but it's a 3-Pin and they don't want to change to 4-Pin to join the league so it's a no go I'm affraid but it's really not a problem....
Hope all's well with everyone!

After a great day yesterday in Norwich in which tommo and Margo visited the King's Head twice and in between the Golden Star for lunch, today was spent on the Broads and we took in the Reedcutter Inn....Sad to report that no table in evidence (landlady Lynne said her father is looking after it at home until there is once again room for it). A charming pub in picturesque setting, charming people too. And just had the best value fish'n'chip meal ever !

MY kind of pockets/rings! female easy drop. I remember these well from the early eighties. best rings I ever saw. the balls went in, went down and the 'Tharp Youngsters' could really rattle on. the old gits hated them. they wanted to see us steaming at the ears waiting..... and waiting......and waiting.
there's a beer festival at Norwich next month, i think I'm going to have to go now..... thanks for uploading that one tommo!
cheers

hey Tommo one update above and do you recall i found a table at the White Horse in Brancaster Staithe last year? 4-pin non-league.
It would be nice to touch-base with these lads again. I went in the Kings Arms during the National CAMRA Beer Festival which was held for the third and last time in Norwich in the Spring and i got stuffed by a local. a proper hiding. I can't understand why i play so badly after 5 hours at a Beer festival....I really can't!
But the stuffer told the stuffee that they weren't aware of any regs for the East Anglian Open etc and would gladly enter.
cheers

[Edit 03/05/13 - 4 non-league venues from North West of the county with Kings Lynn postal address transferred, as within the Fens district covered by the Gedney Hill & District Snookerette League - tommo] Hi Taffy, You will find the White Horse both on the AEBBA Map and on the Gedney Hill list. See note above, and to elaborate on the explanation, the Norwich League is unlikely to ever stretch that far beyond the confines of the city, where 80% of the venues are within walking distance of each other, favouring a decent alcohol intake.
From knowledge you have demonstrated in the past, you will appreciate that Kings Lynn venues, though within the geographical county of Norfolk, will venture over the border for league play. Confusing, I know, but c'est la vie !

Hi Tommo, Long time no post from me! I’ve just been chatting to Taffy with regard to where tables are in Norwich, I didn’t realise there were table oooop north around Brancaster Staithe area. Might have to go have a look, but non of us “Townies” would probably venture that far for league games. Anyway just for your map updates, these are the latest tables in our league, any others you have on the list the tables have been removed unfortunately, but each of our venues have at least 2 teams playing in the league so still going from strength to strength you’ll be glad to hear! Norwich league venues as follows Coach and Horses (Bethel Street) Kings Head (Magdalen Street) White Lion (Oak Street) Golden Star (Colegate) The Rose (Queens Road NR1 3AE) The Ship (South Walsham NR13 6DQ) If anyone reading this is interested have a facebook search for our group search “norwich bar billiards” we also have a website www.norwichbarbilliards.co.uk we have a really great mobile version of the website too David Brewer and Phil Myhill who run our league now (I had to take a step back as I’ve been working to get my new business off the ground) have worked really hard developing the website, i think you’ll agree they’ve done a cracking job of it!! Anyway, like I say, just an update for the map Hope you’re all well Carl

I'm afraid this list will have to be decimated: The Kings Arms, Blakeney - gone. Kings Head, Holt - gone. The Pigs at Melton Constable - gone. The Green Man at Lt Snoring, - gone.
more to follow I'm afraid as I called these 4 and left messages for many others.
The landlord at the Green man Inn at Lt. Snoring though seems mad keen to have one. Anyone else supply him with one? I'm not keen to go that far although I have offered him one.
Taffy
PS, Gunton Arms at Thorpe Market just confirmed that they still have a table.

Nice to hear from Carl once again, and some more good work from Taffy. Taffy - as you've sorted Cambs and Norfolk, how about Essex as your next mission ? Was the Norfolk guy who gave you a tonking by any chance Charlie Holden, landlord of the King's Head ? He got to the quarter-final of the 1st East Anglian Open in 2013. tommo

Are we to understand that a) the Vikings have now moved back ? and b) that there is now a table in both venues ? Thx, tommo
