I understand Corner House A now have three home games on the trot. Catch up time, hopefully, after having all those away games in the first half of the season. More even next year please!!!!!

It’s so nice to see you back. :( Are you fishing for a bite again. ::) Well o.k they did have 3 away games on the trot, but so what. As long as you don't have them all at the end of a season, then their shouldn't be a problem. Regarding having all those away games in the first half of the season, the truth is they had 4 at home and 5 away. How can you have an even number of home & away games in the first half of a season, when we have 18 games to play, which means 9 in each half. :-/ Anyway, I haven’t heard of a complaint coming from your team yet, I say your team, but you haven’t even played a league game yet. !! I must stop this biting, now I’m a MODERATOR. :-X Keith.

Any fixture list should be able to be sorted so that no one team has more than two successive home or two successive away games, it can lead to a downward spiral in form and it is usually bad for the home venue/landlord too, although I know there are two teams there this season so that may not apply in this case.
You seem very jumpy. Take a happy pill....
As you know, I do know a little bit about fixtures.
But I was not fishing or even baiting sir, just stating an opinion as I thought this forum was for.
My dictionary gives this as one of the meanings of the word forum:
"a meeting to discuss topics of public concern".
I said nothing about any complaint either. When did you ever hear our captain complain?
By "even", I did not mean the same number of home and aways, I meant level as in the term "even surface". Sorry for not making that distinction. I stand suitably corrected.
As for not playing in the Oxford League yet, it is very simply two reasons. (1) I am only a standby for the team and I have not been required except for one KO match, and (2) as you well know, I have been otherwise engaged, fighting through a very, very dark period in my life and other things have taken precedence ahead of bar billiards. If you would rather I did not register next season, just say so anytime. Your wish is my command!!!! Really.

Welcome back Pete. :)
I take it you and Keith are still good friends ;D
Next time we prepare our Fixture List i will ask you first to see if we can avoid these succesive away and home fixtures which i was led to believe this could'nt be done. We did have a few moans and groanes by certain members
Leave it to the Secretary ;)

It can always be done. I was asked by Linda to sort out Oxford's fixtures LAST season before you were Secretary. I think it went ok? Perhaps one of you knows differently. 8-)
