New Sussex Hotel A 4 Plough Plumpton 1
Geoff Jukes 6,620* - 1,450 Jan Bithell Geoff opened with 4.6k, both players had a couple of chances after that but Jan unable to close the gap. 1-0
Kevin Hall 0 - 7,760* Henry Brooks Henry opened with 3.5k, Kev did get the break back but the white ball came inside on his break shot and he had no luck after that, Henry got another 3k break to make sure. 1-1
Rick Dewdney 2,140 - 1,630* Darren Newnham Darren off early and neither player able to get the break back.... until the very last ball was in Rick's hand to give the home team a vital win against the break. 2-1
Jim Greensted 9,180* - 1,300 Dave Knight Jim off early but Dave unable to get the break back, Jim did to run in a very good 8k break to seal the win. 3-1
So, 3-1 on the night and the New Sussex now 5-4 up overall.....
Kevin Tunstall 8,430 - 5,550* Dave Ingram I opened with 3.7k before pushing the one up behind..... KT got the break back straight away and also pushed the one up behind.... :o. I then got the break back, played a bad shot at 1.7k and came off at the back of the table..... Kev played the table out to take the win for his team. 4-1
Two very enjoyable evenings and a result that could have gone either way....... Congratulations to the New Sussex on their victory and best of luck to them as they defend their AEBBA Team Title at Reading next month. 8-)

Congratulations to the New Sussex Hotel, and commiserations to the Plough, who from the report put up a very gallant fight.

I must echo Tommo`s words and say well done to the Plough, it`s not easy getting through in the Sussex area and they certainly gave us a match in both legs of the Final. Darren & Ricky`s game certainly the crucial one, any one clearance could have won the point. Well done to my team and hopefully we can defend our title next month :)
