I don't normally pass these on but this one seemed particularly worrying to me.
If you get a call from a Windows enngineer who knows your name and tells you that he (or she) wishes to talk to you about the error reports generated on your computer and sent to Microsoft, or that your PC appears to have a virus and they can investigate for you------
Tell then to go away in short jerky movements, it is a scam and they will try to get you to allow them access to your PC and pilpher passwords, bank details etc.
You gete what appears a genuine phone number on your caller display but it is not, it's a general number assigned to Skype calls.
They did not get very far with the management here ;D ;D

This one's been doing the rounds for quite a while now. The caller always sounds asian and can get quite abusive. My partner put the phone down on one and he rang back just to give her another torrent of abuse. >:(
Seems the best way to get rid of them is to persuade them that you have an Apple computer.

We have had this too, normaly an Indian sounding gentleman and seems covincing but its "NOT THE REAL DEAL" so never follow the instructions! Best thing I do is leave the phone next to the tv and wait for them to hang up! Its thier phone call costing them!
