Well played the Corner House A on taking our 100% record off us, you were the only ones to beat us on our own table last year as well.
It would have been nice to take the title with a win, but at least we got the one point needed to be Champions again.
It was our worst performance as a team for a few years (Pauline & Steven excluded) as we only scored just over 18,000 between us.
The first game saw Alan beat Kevin, with both having 3 breaks each, that is very unusual for Kevin, as he normally goes in with enough when he has the break at home.
This win for Alan means he has won all his away games 8/8....well done.
Ray also needed 3 breaks to beat Bob against the break, again very unusual, as Ray normally plays the table the best.
Pauline showed us why she is the House Champion, by making a fine 8,000 break, with some excellent 50/10 splits to beat Mick against the break.
I lost with the break against Ian, who made a very good 8,200 break after I had taken the black peg out. :-[
Well played Ian, but I thought you were a mate of mine. ::)
I must admit on feeling sorry for Steven, he would have had a chance for most wins if he had beaten Allan, but Allan had other ideas with a fantastic opening break of 9,020 to give Steven no chance.........well played Allan.
With me losing for the first time this season makes the most wins for the Premier very interesting.
If I win my last game at the Horse & Harrow and Mark wins at the Democrats then I will take it on least losses.
If I lose and Mark wins then he takes it on wins.
If we both lose and Ray, Steven & Alan Oliver all win then 5 of us will be tied on 15 wins each, so then it goes on least losses and then away wins, which means that Ray and myself will take it on least losses with the same away defeats, so will get a trophy each....confused....so am I. ;D
Should have taken the result card Keith.
Would of saved me the job of putting the result on the forum.
Have you got over your little setback? ;D
Oh by the way Congraulations on your 600th post
