Given the difficulties in sorting neutral tables... I would be prepared to play any entrant in the Special Ladies on a table that they may have previously played if this helps.

I will be setting up 9 tables to use with an 8 table format.
If i'm desperate i could set up the 10th table, but i think we will be OK with the 9

Not sure who won the Special Ladies but I know that Myra and Jenny were in the final and both were playing great today and deserved to be there.

Special Ladies Plate... again not sure who won but Janet Burns slaughtered me and played brilliantly..

Thanks everyone, a fantastic day for us in retaining the title. ;D

When the draw was done, we came out in the tougher group against Oxon, Kent & Pompey.
Unfortunately, Northants were a no show in the other group, leaving just 3 teams, Caversham WMC, Surrey & Bucks. This group was over early with Caversham easily winning their 2 matches.
Our group went to the last series. After beating the Pompey team 4-1, we then lost to Kennington SC 2-3 which meant we were tied after 2 matches. The last series saw the Oxon team drop 2 legs and we bt the Kent side 5-0.

This led to a super final against Caversham, where the first 4 players from each team, Kev Hall v Dave Alder, Geoff Jukes v Terry Vallis, Bernie McCluskey v Rick Dewdney & Keith Lewendon v Jim Greensted set the pace.
Chunkey Monkey opened with a good 6k on a tricky top, Dave had 2 attempts but couldnt catch him.
Geoff opened with 7k and that was enough to bt Terry.
Bernie opened with 10k against Rick, who finished off with 5k.
Lew opened with 8k which sealed that one.
So a decider between myself and Paul Sainsbury - I played the table out with 20,050, Paul replied with 14k and was possibly slightly down on time when he left one short of the hundred, eventually coming off to give us a tremendous victory.
