I haven't been to Jersey since 2008 but was surprised to find this morning that reciprocal medical cover arrangements with the NHS ceased in 2009.
Everyone may well be aware of this but I though it a good idea to start a thread in case anyone is not. After all there is a small risk of over indulgence of certain beverages ;D ;D and the resultant injuries associated with the practice (not that I personally ever would ::) ::) )
Some bank accounts, eg Nationwide Flex Account, provide free European cover.

This was re instated this year. A healthy future with the UK Thursday 31st March 2011, 3:00PM BST. MANY Islanders will heave a sigh of relief when our reciprocal health agreement with the UK is finally reinstated next week. Not sure who you were told by. www.gov.je/Health/Travelling/Pages/VisitingJersey.aspxsee you all soon.

Cheers H or J Lots about the cessation on the web, very little about the reinstatement unless you specifically look for it and thus would have to have known about it SEE HERE. Good News! I haven't found similar regarding Guernsey, any local knowledge please? Sav
