Hi, these are the players who I make have qualified for the Grand Prix, which will be held Nov 27th at the PO Club, Reading. I have not got the full results from Jersey, so the positions are subject to me getting all the results from the last 32 onwards, but these are the players who have definitely qualified.

I am urgently looking into the logistics of the Grand Prix - waistcoat, bow tie, train travel etc. What are the start and end times and competition format?
It would be a shame to pass up probably my only opportunity to play in this.
Thanks
Barney

Best advice I can offer (from one who enjoyed his own once-in-a-lifetime go at this two years ago) is to have a look at the 2010 and the 2009 threads for the same event (under this same Board, AEBBA Tournaments). Also the AEBBA website (link to the relevant page here, which will give you the timings): www.aebba.org.uk/results/2010/Grand_Prix.htmHope this helps to whet your appetite ! And well done on qualifying, very well deserved. 8-)

Thanks Barney Start time should be 11.30am but if someone has his way-like last year-it will be 12am, which will mean a later finish than need be! ??? It’s also played from “anywhere on the D” and if you look at the prolific amount of high breaks made it’s a “splitters” paradise. Well done on qualifying and Good luck from me, as well. Milko PS Steven will be playing in this and I will make my decision tomorrow.

Last year, Dave reminded me what my start time proposal was i.e.(I would like to propose that the start time of AEBBA Tournaments be changed from 12.00 start to an 11.30 start. Except the over 50s, 60s, & Grand prix day.)
But the rule in the AEBBA rules states; (Start time of AEBBA run Tournaments is 11.30.) There's nothing about the Grand Prix day, so, did it get deleted at the AGM or has Sav just forgotten to include it, hopefully the former.

Who is the 16th seed and who are the next in line players on the reserve list? The 16th seed is Trevor Gallienne, can someone please pass me his phone number. I am reluctant to post a full reserve list as i don't have full results from Jersey so reserve spots may come down to matches won etc, I am just trying to confirm the players who have clearly qualified.....which leads me to ask you Keith, are you and Steven playing??

Can someone round Oxon way check with Leon and Phil if they are playing in the Grand Prix, or send their phone numbers. I have sent them a text to the numbers I have for them, but want to check that the numbers I have are correct cos I have no reply yet.
