The javascript menu system on the AEBBA website is fairly long in the tooth and does not work if javascript is disabled. Talking to people in Jersey it became apparent that the site menu system is not accessible to some mobile devices. There have also been conflicts in Firefox with extensions.
I'm thus trialling a more modern concept which (I am told) should work regardless.
Could a few of you, especially those with mobiles or unusual (non Internet Explorer or Firefox) Browsers try the incomplete test menu. Particularly try digging right down into the internationals sub-sub-sub menus and click on pages.
Please report any problems here.
Those people who could not access the old site from mobiles, is the test menu better?
Appreciate your help before I commit further time to this.

Curt D tells me the new menus work on his mobile whereas the old ones did not.
Good that one person has taken the trouble to give me some feedback (good or bad) for the hours of work.

Hi Sav,
Normal laptop user here.
All looks (and works) Hunky Dory, as before. 8-)
For the record, when I last spoke to Rick the Dude (a few weeks ago) he was able to look right into all levels of the AEBBA website on his handset.
IanG might be a good one to ask, he has quite a sophisticated mobile.
Regards, tommo

Cheers Clive,
I appear to have screwed the original menu system (on my PC) under IE (OK under FF) and it's almost midnight so it's going to stay so overnight.
I'll finish the new system in the morning and ditch the old.
Had another email from someone who has a Samsung Wave with the Bada O/S (whatever that is!) he can see the new menus whereas the old were never working.

All other sub menus on the left hand options should be working now. That's yards and yards of coding under competitions! Just over 750 lines of code so far that have a target and a description and everything has to be correctly nested within each level. Sav

Sav :'( Apologies Chris....I don't normally use my mobile apparati (?) to access, being a retired old git I use my desktop all the time. However; On my iPad1 (running iOS5 and Safari) the old menu does not work (the dropdown menu appears but will not stick to enable access) but the new ones do, all the way down the hierarchy to the actual spreadsheets or whatever. Similarly my iPhone 3GS (running Safari and iOS5) works fine on the new DD menus but NOT the old. cheers Tony

Many thanks Tony, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear.
Back on the case (for the last hour) this morning and hope to finish in a couple of hours

Conversion completed. Please report any broken links or problems here Sav Hi Chris, I'm a bit late in finding this, so apologies, but there are some problems with the links to Nigel's regular newsletters. Here's a full summary of the situation: 1. The first six issues (for 2009) are not immediately visible: the 2010 issues 7 to 12 are duplicated, showing against both 2009 and 2010. 2. 2010 - all okay. 3. 2011 - Correct, apart from that Issues 17 (Sep/Oct) and 18 (Nov/Dec) have broken or missing link. 4. 2012 - Correct, apart from that Issue 19 (Jan/Feb) and 20 (Mar/Apr) have broken or missing link. 5. 2013 - all okay. As I have found the 'missing files' by searching the Directory, I assume it's a simple address reference problem and relatively easy to solve. Regards, tommo
