Roffey B 4 Southwater sc 1
Bob Hall 7530 - Jeff Raine 1560 Jeff off early Bob with 4.5 and another 2k seal the first point 1-0
Jim Boderick 2140 - Tom Darkins 2800 Tom started with 50 and then most of the game spent at the top end Tom did get the break back to make the difference 1 -1
Lorraine Hall 6940 - Gordon Ling 490 MamaHall aways in control of this game 2-1
Foxy 4640 - Matt Senior 1980 Matt off cheaply but left balls awkward! Most off the game spent at the back end of the table until toward the end when I got the balls back to make a 4.5k winning break 3-1
Pete Edwards 5620 - Chris Purkiss 2490 Chris made a better start than most of his team mates but Pete had a couple of 2k+ breaks to make it 4-1 on the night

Windmill A 1, Mill House 4 Mark Gasson 450, tommo 4440 Andy Crofton 1790, Johnny Haigh 2670 Alec Gasson 1240, Margo 2690 Joan Davies 1260, John Turner 1250 Rob David 1590, BB Warrior 5840
Eventful match - a fourth win for Margo and Joan won too, making it ladies' night. J.T. potted the last two balls when trying to keep one on the table and lost by 10. Table played really well, and Warrior could have easily hit 10k but lost a couple of useful breaks towards the end. Sandwiches were a good selection, and we thank the Windmill for a pleasant and sociable evening.

Plough 3 - 2 Stout House BB
Geoff 3160 - 2070 Sk1ppy (The break, table & fire caught Sk1ppy out - Geoff steady throughout) Mark 2890 - 3210 Trevor (Trevor played well & opened a 2k lead, Mark couldn't quite catch up) Steve 1710 - 2xBP Pete (Pete was 2k up when he felled the BP mid game - enough said...) Keith 3050 - 2960 Dick (GREAT GAME! Nip & Tuck throughout. Keith with the 200 to take it) Kieran 730 - 4600 Ricky (Ricky with a 3k 1st break was enough to restore The Stout's blushes)
Full credit to the Plough boys on their win & thanks for some lovely sarnies & a good night!

Flippin' eck Tommo, how many Gassons are there in Sussex :o I don't think these are related to brothers Tel and Des, Q. These are Partridge Green Gassons (father and son). I remember Alec used to play many years ago for the Green Man.

As The Plough have failed again to send in the results can you tell me which Steve played Vizor or Whyte. Did you volunteer to send in the results as Mark Knows as the HOME captain he has to send it in.

Taken from Ian's weekly report:
Stout House A 2, Roffey Y 3 The League Champions paid a visit to The Stout House & came away with the win but are level on points with The A team & 6 away from their customary top spot. Peter Gibbs battled against Mr Carver to put the visitors 1 up. A brilliant 9720 from Rick Langridge in the 2nd gave them a firm grip on the match with Mick Fairs up next it was a done deal. The 2 skippers up next saw a rare defeat for Dick Cable to Dave Howlett. A good 6K from Glyn Owen gave Stout a 2nd point.
Crawley Club 1, Dun Horse 4 Dun Horse have a finger nail on 2nd place but have played 1 more game than their rivals. A solid 4-1 beating served up to Crawley Club the order of the day. Spud Spurrier liked the table in the first, John Lear quickly made it 2-0. Out for a high score Paul Jobbins set about a 6K target. Crawley’s Steve King was handed the win in the 4th from an unfortunate black peg from his oppananent. Ian Giffen cleaned up the last & that all important point.
Limeburners 3, Windmill B 2 A clash at the top of Division 2 between Limeburners & Windmill B saw the Burners fight back from 2-0 down with some gritty playing. A fantastic 8110 from Steve Eely set the tone, & Barry Dumbrill continues his run of good form. It took Ding Johnson to stop the flow & got Limeburners back in it, a closer 4th went to Steve Holden. The decider went to Mick Johnson over Dave Lennon.
