A good 4-1 for Wallingford in the first leg although Mark T lost a 6K+ break in the last game which may have been crucial for Oxford.

In the return Stuart Florey took the first for Oxford with a good victory over Dennis Atkins to peg one back for Oxford.  Mark Turner then scored an excellent and steady 8K break in the second to leave Mark Trafford with no time to chase and to ensure the game would at least go to aggregate.  The third started off as a fairly scratchy affair, but Joe O'Farrell got it together very well in the end to beat Kevin Godfrey by 7990-2110.  This gave the Championship to Wallingford A and many congratulations to them on their ninth win in this competition as a team.
Oxford took consolation points in the last two games through Steven Sheard over Tony Martin (an excellent 16050-130) and Alan Oliver over Leon Beer (3390-2460)

The final of the Inter Area C-team Shield will be held at the Queens Head in Hazlemere, High Wycombe starting at 7.30 on Sunday 11th December 2011.  
Please note early start time and good luck to both teams.

The Inter Area C-Team Shield Final 2011
Oxford C 2 Wallingford C 3

Many congratulations to Wallingford C who beat Oxford C 3-2 in the C team Shield Final last night at the Queens Head in Hazlemere, High Wycombe.  This is the tenth time Wallingford C have won this Shield in the nineteen years since it's inception.  If it had been 2-2 after four games the last game would have been incredibly tense!! :D

Thanks to the Queens for their hospitality and to Jenny Parsons for presenting the trophies.
