Theve done a poor job if they have widened it as so far i see trees down and it will be years before it is the way they want it. but defiantly no surprise with Handcross hill being the pain as people just struggle with the snow Oh yeah there's still work to be done, the next phase, involving improvements to the Warninglid junction, starts Spring/summer 2012 according to this: www.highways.gov.uk/roads/projects/3998.aspx

Congratulations to the England team on a fine and convincing victory against a strong and very experienced Jersey side. I was trying to think who the youngest player in the Jersey team was but gave up ? ::) So, what’s happened to your young stars, James Jeunne, Sean Le Beuvant, Mike Phillips, etc ?
Well done to Kevin on organizing a well run event and to Dave for taking the table’s home in what must have been awful driving conditions. I did ask him why he wasn’t taking up the AEBBA offer of a free stay at the hotel and he said he wanted to see his daughter sing in the choir on the Sunday.
Regarding the tables, I thought two of the tables (1 & 3) looked tricky and very whippy and this showed in the scores made on those tables, the other table (2) looked very good with lots of high breaks and scores made on it.
Graham Bisson mentioned in his speech that his team were disappointed that there wasn’t a practice table to play on before the match.
I again enjoyed my stay at the Hotel, with the room being much better than last time. We ended up going to the Henty Arms on the way in, which proved a good choice as we had a nice meal and two games on a good table, although it was cold by the door. That’s a busy railway line outside the pub, as the barrier was going up and down all the time. After parking the car outside the Hotel, so I could have a drink, we went to the “Cellar Bar” along the sea front in what was a freezing wind. They only had “real ales” :( but it was friendly and cosy in there. I didn’t play on the table but it did look very good but I should think the pillar behind the table must get in the players way if you had a long cue! On the way home we went to Littlehampton Harbour, Bognor Regis and Selsey Bill where we spotted the “Selsey Bill” pub, that has a table, I think? We didn’t see any laid snow until we went north up the A34 but we had a diversion off because of an earlier jack knifed lorry and diesel spillage. Great W/End amongst friends.
