Southwater SC 3 Dun Horse 2
Tony Franks 6940 Colin Bolton 1030 Keith Newman 2030 Grant Hope 2770 Mel Blake 3220 Scott Hope 1820 Tony Temple 3040 Stuart Hope 2550 Ray Manser 1320 Dave Simmons 7840
Game 1. Nothing working for Colin, Tony in control all the way. Game 2. Grant took an early lead, Keith caught up, late 1k from Grant took the game. Game 3. Magnetic pegs proved Scott’s downfall. Mel did enough to win. Game 4. Stuart pulled out an early lead, Tony having no luck until closing stages, a 2k5 break enough to steal the game. Game 5. Dave started with 4k. Ray struggling let Dave back in to make the game safe.
An enjoyable evening with plenty of chat. Match could have gone either way with Game 4 being the critical one. Southwater Club looks very festive and has been decked out with so many Christmas lights, it’s probably visible from space! ;D

Three Bees 3 Springbok SC 2
L. Lennon 1370 T. Goacher 2560
Trevor started with a 1K break and left the balls awkward for Lin, who worked hard to get the break back. Lin left balls up short and Trevor nudged ahead before bottom of table got rammed with balls giving Lin no real chance to get the break back.
D. Tomsett 4530 G. Jarrett 480
Graham left the split up short and Dave capitilised. Graham had opportunities but the balls kept finding the pegs. One way traffic with Dave hitting a couple of decent breaks.
S. Eely 1870 B. Hicks 240
Score does not reflect the game, Bill was ahead with time on his side, when he BP, game over.
M. Lennon 1700 K. Nixon 920
Both players started nervously and were matching each other, Ken just kept finding the peg and while Mike was not on top form he avoided them more often than Ken.
N. Tomsett 1630 G. Marshall 2580
Gary started with a good break and as much as he tried Nigel was unable to win back the break. Plenty of balls on the table and Gary kept adding to his break to keep in front.
A nice evening topped of with fresh sarnies and chips. Thanks to all at the Windmill
