Atlas `B` 3 v 2 Swan `B`.
Eric Butler 1,180 v 5,000 Barry Holt. Steve Beach 3,520 v 2,210 Trevor Foard. Alan Messer 2,990 v 2,530 Brian Richards. Mick Pope 3,270 v 5,730 Roger Taylor. Brian Muggeridge 3,240 v 0,250 Matthew Squire.
Table diabolical had to aim to hit the left hand side of the object ball aiming at the left hand fifty to pot the ball. Are the Worthing tables getting worse or is it my imagination.

One of those epic matches you get once in a while occurred at the New Sussex with the B team playing the Henty with the break shot consistently hard with the white ball going inside.
Game 1. Chris Lucas v James Whittle (1430-2730) James always in control of this game and his confidence grew as the game continued. 0-1
Game 2. Colin Green v Gordon Brett (1910-3290) Gordon a hard but consistent ball hitter and everything went his way and nothing going for Colin. 0-2.
At this stage the New Sussex were in trouble so I put myself on. After a team conflab the Henty decided on their strategy and marked Kim as the weak link. They decided on Ros as my opponent.
Game 3. Dave Jones v Ros Appleby (3240-1790) Ros also played the break with the white coming inside and was soon off. I steadily played and gained the advantage only for my break shot to miss the white. A steady 600 on the right hand 50 hole proved a distinct advantage for me. 1-2
Game 4. Kim Hurley v Rob Driver (Henty's banker) (2100-1750) Kim played her heart out delivering break after break a couple of hundred here and there keeping what she scored. Rob's frustration knocking peg after peg over. This game was Kims' finest hour for us. 2-2
Game 5. Steve Hurley v Trevor Appleby (3660-680) Steve controlled this game from start to finish and gave us the two points. 3-2
As always excellent company, Well done my team for not bowing to the pressure.
