Blue Ship (Crown) 2 Dun Horse 3
Hugh Fowler 1380 Scott Hope 5980 Peter Barnett 6460 Colin Bolton 940 Colin Barrow 0 Dave Simmons 10420 Dave Sands 4310 Stuart Hope 2790 John Thayre 130 Grant Hope 3850
Game 1. Scott started well and kept the pressure on Hugh to pull further ahead. Game 2. Colin started well but pegged his opener. Barney took advantage. Game 3. Dave kicked off with 6k5. Colin pegged on 1k+ allowing Dave to play out for another 4k. Blimey, where did that come from? ;D Game 4. Relatively even til midway when Dave pulled ahead. Stu unable to respond. Game 5. Grant started with 1k, John replied with 2k, Grant pulled back level with 1k. In the closing stages, a shot up the middle from John toppled the black peg :-/ allowing Grant to claim the game and match with another 1k.
A fun evening with plenty of banter rounded off with some very tasty food.

RAILWAY 5 SPRINGBOK SC 0 NIGEL 9570 BILL 80 CHRIS 1560 GRAHAM 720 MICK 1590 TREVOR 990 STEVE 5130 GARY 1040 MARK W/O Simply the worst performance collectively from the Springbok Team :( Not to take anything away from the Railway lads. Nigel hit a decent 6K break and Clacky lost over 5K on his way to victory. I blame the football, we all wanted the Reds to win and one eye was on the TV. Great night, thank you, plus some decent grub.
