Kevin Tunstall plays his home games in the Littlehampton league at the White Hart and has been drawn thre in the doubles, so I do not think it is fair for him to play in competitions on at this venue. Anybody else feel the same way?

I too am registered to play for the White Hart, and although have only played there once for the team, the table is on my door step, and its one I use to practice. We did discuss this last night at the league game, and have agreed that Ian and Jim have the choice to go and have a practice beforehand, therefore keeping it a level playing field.

This has happened before but unfortunately you cant take into consideration all the tables people play on in different leagues. If your playing a Worthing Competition match and the table drawn is not your home Worthing league top then thats fine regardless of other leagues. As I said this happens all the time in Lewes, Mid Sussex, Brighton and Worthing (and possibly other leagues) I played a Lewes singles game last night and played on a table that was my opponents home mid-sussex top which they had played the night before but thats the luck of the draw ( or bad luck !) The only fair way to stop this would be to not allow a table to be in more than one league!! (BAD idea in this day and age with tables disappearing all over the place)

......to not allow a table to be in more than one league!! (BAD idea in this day and age with tables disappearing all over the place) Quite so, times change and the remaining tables are spread thin (the Henty I believe participates in three leagues). Also, quite a few players now sign on for three or more leagues, making it even more difficult to find a neutral table to play on. In Horsham/Billingshurst it has to be done the 'right way', as they use the same venues - with a couple of exceptions. In Mid Sussex it seems to be left to the conscience of the individual to 'own up' before arranging the match and offer an alternative venue purely out of courtesy - often declined with similar grace. The other side of the coin also exists, whereby the right to play at home can be claimed if contact is not made by the required date!

Anybody else feel the same way? Tough one...in West Sussex other league home venues are ignored...the only relevance is the West Sussex home venue....after all anyone can visit the other table and get to know it

Ian & myself bt Chris & Jim on a good White Hart table 2-1. I went off with 10k in the first, Jim opened with 11k in the second.
In the decider, Ian broke first and came off with 12k, Lolly in reply missed a difficult split and left both balls up :(

Henry & I beat Pete Brown and Chris Cox 2-0 at the Henty early this evening, match switched to there due to re-arranged Inter League game at the Swan.
Many thanks to Colleen for scoring. :-*

Barney and I beat Barry and Roger 2 - 0 at the Dolphin last night. I didn't make many from the opening break, but a good 6k in the middle from Barney meant a comfortable first leg win. Roger lost his opening break, and in a low scoring second leg it looked like whoever retrieved the break first would win. Barry did, but put the white behind on a one-up when looking set, giving them a lead of 1500. Barney was the next to get the break back, with just enough time to run the table out with 2.5k. Nice table.
