Scores are rough as Dave took the card back with him. Cracking battle of two titans tonight, but with the winner of each game being on the break meant we pulled up a game short but was a good match all round. Our table has been moved yet again, meaning the back end of the table took some patience with only 2 of us managing to clear up and get on the break, granted it the table's performance declined as the night went on and the scores reflect this. The expensive end of the table, however, was lovely.
Cracking opener from Colin, with the new highest away break of 8770, ending up on just over 10k. KK was left speechless 0-1 Chris O started well on the break, but broke down on 4.5k, Chris Lucas had no luck getting the balls back so it was tippy tapping until the end 1-1 Steve broke off with a 3.5k break, and with Pete in the form that he has been in lately, we were gladly surprised when he replied with a 3k break straight off the back of Steve's break, it was close for a long time but a few poor shots from Pete pushed Steve safe. 1-2 To avoid the close-out I had to put myself on the break for a change, and I was going well until I played a 10 split too thick and caught the 100 hole and pegged a 4k break. I came back with another 3k or so but I was annoyed as I felt set to chase Colin's break! 2-2 Dave gave Damo plenty of chances early on to get some kind of score up on the board but 10 visits to the table with 500 scored didn't go unpunished and as Dave got better, so did his score. 2-3
Notable Breaks: 8770 C.Green, 4500 C.Oakley, 3500 S.Hurley, 3200 P.Hickman.
