Only four players were missing from the strongest possible line-up of 16 for the County Singles, the last year the competition will be known as such: Henceforward it will be known as the Masters, as agreed at the recent AGM.
Group A ("the group of death") produced both Finalists, who had both won the county Singles title once before. But it was Geoff who managed to keep his form going right to the end for his second title, avenging the earlier defeats by Mick in the heats.

Thanks to Dave Alder for yet another smooth table hire, this time he arrived on his own to collect the tables. And the best ones seemed to have been earmarked, as there was not a bad 'un amongst them.

Well done to Jason for running a smooth tournament whilst in considerable pain (sciatica ?) himself. And to Colin and Brenda for providing the usual tasty fare. :P
