County Championships 2009

Surrey's A team took part in AEBBA's county championships at Reading on Sunday 20th September.

The team of Dave Constable (capt), Terry Oakley, Gary Powell, Jason Wadsworth, Colin Robbins, Jimmy Greensted and Clive Thompson finished 2nd placed in Division 2 - a repeat of two seasons ago.

Kent A were winners, taking the last match 4-3 off Surrey.
DC played a good captain's part, winning all four of his games.

Today it is the turn of Surrey A and B Ladies, who are competing in the Ladies' equivalent at Reading as we speak. Good luck, girls ! ;D

Div 3 for the men will be played on Sunday 18th October, and Richard Plaw will captaining Surrey B on that occasion.

Group two finished with a clear winner where as group 2 finished with three ladies on four points each. winner was decided by aggregate score. Groups and results were.
