I played Nigel Senior last night at the Dyke in the singles quarter finals,
I won 2-1 in a very close game
First game , Nigel missed early but left a ball right in front on the white
peg, we spent a few minutes at the back of the table, Nigel got the balls
back and made 10k and touched.
Second game I went off with 9600 which was enough to make it 1-1.
Third game Nigel won the toss and went first , he was going well but hit a
split thin and came off and 4950 was put on the scoreboard. Even breaks, on
9600 I missed a split and Nigel flew to the table and played really quick ,
with the bar gone and 6 whites left he asked for a count up. Doug who was
scoring said he was on 10,200, Nigel disagreed, turns out he went off with
3950 not 4950, Nigel was the only one of us that realised the error, so the
score was corrected to 9200. He just needed to clear the whites to win , he
sunk three of them with one up and split, but the next one up span out
leaving me two whites on the table and one in the tray, I cleared them up
and won 9800 to 9400.
A very tight game and a Very honest Nigel.
