Blue Ship 2 Dun Horse 3
Ding Johnson 4010 Colin Bolton 5330 Mick Johnson 4990 Stuart Hope 1070 James Childs 1150 Scott Hope 5840 Steve Holden 990 Dave Simmons 9100 Colin Cathie 4130 Grant Hope 3390
Game 1: Colin started with 3k and stayed in front of Ding in a nail biting game. Game 2: Slow start. Pops couldn’t get going, Mick did. Game 3: Another slow start. Porgy couldn’t get going, Scott did. Game 4: Dave kicked off with 5k, Steve broke down early, Dave finished with 4k. Game 5: A missed ball cost Grant his 1k7 opener. Colin pulled out a 2k lead. Grant ran out of time chasing. Good game though, just unfortunate for Grant.
Another fun evening at The Blue Ship, (Pops particularly enjoyed the ‘Furkin Fox’) rounded off with Roast Beef sarnies.

That's it, enough of being David Bailey for one season: camera going away into mothballs now! Taken before the start of Roffey SSC v Railway last night. A very entertaining match by the way played in a superb atmosphere. Note the happy, smiling faces. 8-)

To add to Mark's report as I was there !
Dick Cable v Mike Cork: Mike started well but Dick came right back with a patiently-compiled 5k which secured the frame.
Pete the Fish v Clacky: Mick was going really well but spilled a sizeable break by ploughing through the peg. Pete then won with an accumulation of smallish breaks. Twiggy v Sniffer: Good battle this one, Twiggy fought fiercely to take control but Sniffer wasn't to be denied securing one point for the visitors.
Micky Fairs v the Bogmeister: Shaggy retained all his faculties for the usual display of unorthodox but completely sound shots.
Moose v Nigel: A really good close game, Nigel about 300 behind with the bar and the red gone and six whites in the tray. He potted them one by one but fell at the last fence leaving Moose to pot the last 100 - which he did.
Some excellent banter from both sides. Nice for me to be able to spectate rather than have to put myself 'through the Mill' as usual. ;D ;D
