Sportsman 2 Hurst Club 3
Trevor Appleby 1880 - 2570 Roy Wells :) Despite losing his opening break, the old fella maintained his winning run against a battling Trevor. 0-1
Pam Peacock 1670 - 840 Rob Hall :( While Rob flirted with pegs (and an attractive young lady! ;)) often spanking them (the pegs I mean! ;D) Pam kept her scores to take a well deserved win. 1-1
Tony Driver 1040 - 3250 Pete Hall :) A solid game from Papa Hall to put the Hurst Club back in front. 1-2
Ros Appleby 1770 - 1140 Kevin Hall :( Despite losing her opening break, Ros kept the BB Reaper off the table for long enough in a captains game to level the match. 2-2
Gary Iles 1680 - 4780 Dave Ingram :) A couple of solid early breaks from the BB Warrier kept Gary at arms length to secure the match for the Hurst Club. 2-3
An entertaining evening played in excellent surroundings with a truly magnificent banquet provided by a very friendly host! ;D

Yes, a thoroughly good evening with great company and lots of good natured banter! :)
A pity the Reaper and I vied with each other to see a) how much score we could lose (I think I won that one) and b) how many times we could go to the table without scoring (think the Reaper got that)
Unfortunately, because of the clock/bar problem I'd spent all day trying to sort, the games all had to be played on a 16 minute clock, so I don't think our table averages will be looking any better (Since yesterday, our bar won't drop at all with any time much longer than 16 minutes :o )
BTW, Garry Iles has two r's in his name, hence we call him Two R's ;) in order to differentiate between him and Gary Foster whose birthday it was tonight, hence he didn't play - a poor excuse in my opinion ;D
PS - Somebody tell the Reaper he owes me a stamp ;)
PPS - Any chance either tommo or theoldfella could show us an updated league table? I don't think there will be a match report this weekend.
