Team Cup Semi played tonight at the Windmill:
Dave Ingram 4840, John Miller 4680 Barry Timson 200, Lee Cable 2880 Clive Thompson 5040, Rick Langridge 2030 Johnny Haigh 2640, Micky Fairs 2620 Vicky Timson 1150, Peter Gibbs 2900
Mill House 3, Roffey Club Y 2
Yeah, we cant believe it either! :o Draw was a bit kind to us, Johnny knowing he had to give 110% for Vicky's sake in the last game. In Game 2 Barry was just gaining on Moose (about 300 behind) when he went too close to the black peg. Games 1 and 4 were as close as they looked, cut and thrust and could have gone either way.
Many thanks to the Windmill for the nice spread of post-match sarnies 8-) also to our illustrious opponents for sharing some good-natured though sometimes riskee banter. ;D

Team Cup Semi played at the Southwater Club
Keith Potter 2510 - 2630 Pete Hartley* (A good tight game that came down to the 100) *Dave Vizor 2950 - 1390 Sam Short (Dave was steady & added points consistently) Mark Webber 1430 - 1850 Ricky Dewdney* (A proper cup match at the top end - Mark very unlucky) *Geoff Parsons 1780 - 2900 Adam Sk1ppy (Much closer then the scoreline - Adam at table at the bar) Steve Vizor 2080 - 4270 Dick Dewdney* (Dick showed us all how to play the table...)
Plough 1-4 Stout House BB ;D
Thank you to the Southwater Club for setting up the table & the nice Sarnies & Sausage Rolls. ;)

Team plate semi between Dun Horse and Southwater resulted in a very narrow 3-2 for the Horse. All 5 games could have gone either way but luck was on our side on the night. Cheers to Southwater for a good evening.

Twas a good night (well the bit I saw anyways) down at the Plough.
The table proved pivotal in the night as most of the games as stated could have gone either way which in a weird sadistic way made it more fun! In saying that, the top felt like it played uphill and a few quirks in turn.
Mr Bateup...we will meet again Sir...
