Hello All,
I am new to the site so apologies if this is not in the correct location. Recently we purchased a bar billiards table that only has 8 holes (the front hole guarded by the black pin is missing) I have seen pictures online of these tables and i think it is called a French/belgium table. Does anybody know if there are any rules to the game anywhere on the internet that i can print out,i have spent hours looking but so far no joy.I also would quite like to know how to play !! Any assistance would be immensly appreciated.Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forum. You will find much about the origin of the game and different table types in our "Club Class Lounge". But to answer your question at a stroke, if you click on this link you will find not only a picture of your 8-hole table but also the rules for this version of the game (also known as Russian Billiards): www.billard-passion.fr/articles.php?lng=en&pg=21

Hi and welcome also, Click here for a booklet that I have a copy of in my collection. Has a short illustrated section on Billard Russe, which is the eight hole French/Belgian game that Bar Billiards is derived from. I'd try and knock that Canadian price tag down though. Sav
