We play a set format all year then on finals night the Team Cup is like an after thought.... Get on, Get off and Get out the way sharpish...!!! How are the teams playing going to enjoy the hard work throughout the year to have 4 games on at the same time? How are we going to enjoy the excitement, passion & feeling of the ups & downs a Cup game holds? I'm speaking my mind in total dissapointment >:( >:( >:(

I can sympathise with your concept of Plate first, then the excitement building up to the Main Event, Adam.
Having said that, I would think the reasoning behind it is that Dick and Ricky are involved in other competitions on the night (greedy b*ggars !) and thus to space the games out a bit for their benefit.....So in this instance you can blame your own players for being too good ! ;D ;D

Point taken Clive and I am aware of this but Billingshurst managed it last year with Richard Plaw in 4 finals...
Finals Night doesn't have to finish at 11pm, people expect a late night with everything going on.
It's the pinnacle of a season & a format shouldn't change.... Lets hope Usain Bolt doesn't end up in 3-4 finals at the Olympics....?

How are the teams playing going to enjoy the hard work throughout the year to have 4 games on at the same time? How are we going to enjoy the excitement, passion & feeling of the ups & downs a Cup game holds? This the format for the National team final held at Reading each year! 4 games played and it normally leads to a 2-2 situational and the final leg has all team members around that table for the climax. Just my input on the format for Finals night with Team Cup & Plate. if the match is played throughout on 1 table as per normal it can tend to get a bit isolated as there are other finals going on on the other tables. Last night there was a buzz around the cup game & most people were watching the tables. it is not a case of get it out of the way as quick as possible.
following on we build up to the singles finals which is the prime event & then everybody would have finnished playing & are free to watch & support the players.
