Individual Competitions
--------------------------------------- This year's Finals Night undoubtedly belonged to Henry Brooks, with the irrepressible youngster involved constantly throughout the evening, firstly retaining the Open Doubles with Bob Hall, then defeating Dave Knight in the Masters Final and finally winning what is rather surprisingly his first Mens Singles title - against Ron Sheridan.
In terms of visits to the Presentation stage he later became 'Henry the Eighth' as the following awards were added to his clutch:
Player of the Year, Mens Highest Score, Mens Highest Break (Premier), Highest Break (Masters) and One-Day Interleague Div.2 winner with Mid Sussex.
Lorraine Hall won her 10th Ladies Singles title, along with the Ladies' Highest Break and Highest Score awards, and it was also a good night for the following:
Jan Bithell - Mixed Doubles Champion (with Darren Newnham); Team Cup runner-up with the Plough; Sussex Ladies Champion Jenny Edwards - Ladies Singles Runner-up; Mixed Doubles Runner-up (with Rob Hall) Rob Hall - Open Doubles Winner (with Henry Brooks); Mixed Doubles Runner-up (with Jenny Edwards) Adam Bateup - 1st Division Masters Winner; Player of the Year Runner-up Colin Robbins - Mens Highest Break; Mens Highest Score (Div.One); Player of the Year Runner-up (Div.One)
Lorraine, Jan and Jenny and Henry, Adam and Rob were also members of the Mid Sussex Interleague teams which had success at county level.

Both excelled in the Home/Away team with 9k averges. I have nearly everything I need now for a website update - just really need the Masters scores from last weekend which Lorraine has promised to forward me.
