Last night i played Mr Edwards in the semi finals of the mens singles and won 2-1 on a table that was playing tricky, not alot of room for errors other wise the table gave you a slap.
I lost the 1st leg by about 600 against the break. Peter won on about 2500.
The second leg i won on about 4500 winning by about 3k
The final leg was anybodys (Well BB REAPERS or Peter Edwards atleast) Pete won the toss and batted 1st kicking off with about 350, i then kicked off with the same before deciding to plough straight through the white peg. We were both a little slow starting before i gave myself a kick up the a**e, got the balls back and put a 2k break up followed by about a 1500 later on, winnig by about 1200.

"REAPER THROUGH TO SINGLES FINAL"
Well done Kevin, let's hope you can fulfill your destiny and go on to become the Champion.
The table you played on last night sounds 'difficult' and J.T. and I have got to play on it tonight. But at least it sounds playable.
At this rate you will need to hire a truck to take home all your Finals Nights' trophies !

Thankyou Clive,
Good Luck tonight. Mum and I are playing our's tonight over at the Plough.
Regarding the Windmill top as two team mates from Redhill i suppose i should tell you there is a roll to the left. The Break is not to bad but needs left hand side on cue ball. No side needed on the one up.
Best of luck

Thanks Kev, I see you and Mama Hall are playing Dave Ingram and "Uncle Max" ;D ;D tonight.
Quid pro quo as they say (or don't any more as it's a dead language): Plough should suit your "one-ball" game perfectly. The right hand side of the table is to be avoided if poss, especially when the log fire has been on. The home team get 8k+ scores on it by potting away at the left hand fifty and when the chance comes, knocking the ball down the left hand cush. Other than that, you have to be positive and attack it.
Good luck !

Well, J.T. and I made it to the Final by beating Keith and Geoff 2-1 at the Windmill tonight. The table was sooo slow, Keith left his first break short but we couldn't consolidate. I got a nice break going in the second game, but the break was very thick with bags of left and the one-up was as you said. In the decider John had the break and only went off with 500 but on my next visit I put us a thousand ahead and we just defended that lead. We both had some jam and got through with 10% skill and 90% luck. Hope we've saved some for the Final. ;)

Well done Tommo and J.T. I myself slipped Norman Cragg the White Van Man Treatment beating him 2-1 also.
1st 2 games went against the break on an awkward clayton & keymer table, difference in the match was I found the break in the last and went with 1800 and defended it best I could wining through in the end, wi craggy 800 behind when the bar dropped and failed to score next shot, so I dumped the red and plinked the others away.
To be fair to Norman had he found the break he would have had me 2-0. White Van Man was impressed enough to not dump him in location unknown, but took him home, must have been the 2k break in the second in open play, with no break shots, good stuff!!!
Bring on 2 bellies, and for those out there that read these and don't know us, 2 bellies and I work together (technically he is my boss in the very loosest sense of the word) and we play for different teams in two seperate leagues).
So good luck fat man, see you finals night!!!!!

Congratulations "Roomie" see ya on Finals Night. One Team match and one competition each to play in, you've matched me like for like. 2-bellies has plenty to collect on the night, including a Mixed Doubles runners-up if young Kev has anything to say about it. I wonder how he got on tonite ?

Well tommo, Mother Hall and I, lost 2-1.
Well done to You and J.T last night.
We got put in on the 1st leg and won comfortably by about 3k, then all Hell broke out as we got slapped into next century by Dave Ingram & Colin Mansfield, losing the second leg by about 1500 and the decider by about 5k.
But still i cant complain i am already in two finals that night. Dave and Colin played some fantastic bar billiards and deffinatly deserved the win last night.

Thanks Kev, Sorry to hear that you and Lorraine lost - but at least you'll both have plenty else to busy yourselves with on Finals Night. You can now concentrate on Eddie Two-Bellies in the Mixed final, and leave me and our Tuesday night teammate to deal with Uncle Max ! ;D ;D
