Ok!
Following Andy Farmer Wrights momentous victory over Jean Kev Hall (BB REAPER) and I had a discussion about cues, and how he straps his into his car with a seat belt, which lead us some how onto names for our cues, so do any of you have a name for your cue and would you be willing to share it with the rest of us?
Name and a reason why?
I will start as I call my cue LEGO as it's a four piece and therefore have to build it to play!!!
Lame I know but can you do better!!!!!
Kev wouldn't tell me his cue's name, but I get a feeling it's female?????

do any of you have a name for your cue and would you be willing to share it with the rest of us? The name of the cue I have been using all season is "MARGO'S CUE" - and no, I wouldn't be willing to share it with any of you ! ;D ;D My own cue (now gathering cobwebs) is called "Excalibur" and my doubles partner John Turner has a cue known as "the Magic Wand" which you can read about elsewhere, if I can find the link........Yes here it is: barbilliards.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1148323565&page=1

At the Horsham Masters today, I saw "RUBY'S CUE" in action. And it was being shared between four different players !
To explain, Dick Cable, Micky Fairs' dad Don, Sleazy (and myself) all started our careers in the late 60's for a pub called the White Hart in Horsham. Ruby was our landlady. When the pub was pulled down (to make way for the monstrosity known as Smith and Wesson , Ruby and Ernie retired and Ruby's cue was bequeathed to the team (who moved to the Michell Arms).
Ruby's Cue though shorter than a normal one seemed to have perfect weight and balance and seemed to serve well whoever trusted their game to it. It is still banging in big breaks forty years down the line, and Dick, Micky, Sleazy and Dick's son Lee all used it at some stage today.

Yes she is also femal purely because she is great to ride and very expensive when things go wrong. ::) Right now down to the name of my cue...... I am Afraid i dont have a name for my Cue but it probably would be female.

Perhaps we should start a competition to "name Kevin's Cue". ;D As it has to be feminine in nature, my entry would be "Cutie". ;) I've renamed mine "CLARE" by the way. 8-)

Not at all by Reaper friend, I am merely referring to the lightness of the said Q. How about calling it The Scythe!

How about calling it The Scythe! I like that a lot ! But as the Reaper says, it has to have a female connotation. So, "Cytherea" would be perfect. ;) [edit] Whoops ! in case anyone googles, I allude to the character Cytherea Graye from the Thomas Hardy novel Desperate Remedies ! :-[

Who said the reaper with his scythe can't be a woman with her scythe?
Or Scythette.
He could go for "sharon an tracy" one fat one thin, to represent the two half of his Q!

Cytherea - goddess of love and beauty and daughter of Zeus in ancient mythology; identified with Roman Venus.
There is one problem with that - I can't even pronounce it ::) I do like the name tho.
