Handcross Z ground out a win on the difficult St Francis table. T'weren't pretty - apart from their last player, that is. ;) ;D
St Francis 2 Handcross Z 3 Chris Little 2470, tommo 840 :-[ :'( Matt Geal 1410, Graham Daniels 2700 Bob Ellis 1050, MrMike007 1840 Ray Fogwill 2520, John Haigh 1420 Alison Geal 170, Barry Timson 2760
In a night where tommo wouldn't have been able to hit a cow's arse with a banjo, other factors swung it the Zeds' way : the absence of Shaun; 'Superstar' filling in for us in an emergency, and Barry drawing a lady for the second week running. Socks will have to be pulled up for the visit of Sir Jock and his team next week. :-/

Brewers Droops 3 Hurst A 2
I haven't got the score card so I can't get too in depth here, other than Dave Ingram beat Andy Farmer with some very good break building. ;D ;D I took on the mighty Mr Roy Wells in game 2 and was well beaten until I finally got the break back and played the table out with a solid 5k+ break to win! ;D ;D Mother Hall against Father Hall in next saw Mum give Dad a good spanking, ;D ;D Loraine notching up 6k+ in overall scores and a 2480 break. Noddy verses Robert Hall (i think) and Robert came away with honors in this one, Noddy had his chances but left the one up short to let Rob in to slip another 2k+ break in ensuring a comfortable win. :D ;) Tense last match and at 2-2 Sparky and reaper man squared up with sparky running out the eventual winner, Reaper man had chances, several in fact but just couldn't get his break going at all. :'( :'(
A great night for the new look Brewers Droops, much fun and heckling from the sidelines ensured a fun filled night with several laughs and a very very funny story about an electric toothbrush had me in stitches!!! (no I cannot rrepeat it here, legal reasons and all that, shame) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Windmill 2 Greyhound 3
A reasonable performance on a table with a very difficult break. It will be interesting next week when our other two absentees return and we are back to last year's team.

Brewers Bravos 0 Hurst B 5 The Brewers looks great after it's refurb. Good night the home team had their share of bad luck with a black peg for Russell.
Tommo & sparky you are both wrong re Bravo's, ponytail guy, masterbateup's tat. Although Tommo's version sounds very good & I'm sure Adam wouldn't mind the theroy but it's altogether much simpler than that. You will have to find out for yourself as I'm keeping my :-X ;D ;D

Whilst we're at it, I'd like to say here and now that there is no foundation whatsoever in the theory that my nickname emanates from the Tommy Hilfiger watch that I always wear. ::)

Adam got his nickname Pony-tailed Guy because his hair at the back is shaped into a pony-tail. ;D ;D

Tommo you are going of course as the theroy on the staff board was about the Bravo nick name I was being ironic. ::) And besides, the discussion started as to the team name: I don't give a flying fig as to whether or not the captain has a Johnny B. tattoo :P His first match write-up for the Bravos had a sign-off message: "Bravo !" - which I thought sounded very Clint-like.

The three 'missing' results - and official write-up for these three, courtesy of Mr Roy Wells :
Watermill B 1, Watermill A 4 In the Worldsend derby game, the Watermill new boys came off second best to their ‘bandit’ rivals (not my quote) The first two legs went to the A side with wins for Chris Nikolaj and Norman Cragg. Kim Stenning hit big (5660) to take the third and the match before Tony Williams saved his side from the brush with a win in the fourth. The A side mopped up the last thanks to John Willis and moved into second place.
White Horse 1, Plough 4 Another new face here as White Horse entertained the Plough. A close encounter saw Geoff Parsons take the first, a lead quickly wiped out by Jim Quinn in the second. The lead was restored to the visitors and the comfortably won with successes for Des Gasson. Mark Webber and Malcolm Fuller. This win put the Lower Beeding outfit on top of the Premier.
Sportsman 3, CKRBL 2 Kleiners early lead in the premier was lost following this away defeat to the Sportsman. Ros Appleby made it two wins on the trot by leading from the front and winning the first. Trevor followed the lead and put the home side two up. ‘Shaky’ Coles saved Kleiners blushes with a win in the third but Gary Foster won a tight leg at 4 to take the match and the bonus points. Pete Edwards shook another point out of the tree for Kleiners but it meant a slip of five places.
...and an up-to-date league table:
Team played won points Premier Division Plough 2 2 10 Watermill A 2 2 10 Hurst B 2 2 10 Handcross Z 2 2 9 CKRBL 2 1 8 Greyhound 2 1 6 St Francis 2 0 4
Division 1 Droops 2 2 9.5 Watermill B 2 1 7 Sportsman 2 1 7 Hurst Club 2 0 5 Windmill 2 0 4.5 White Horse 2 0 3 Bravos 2 0 0
