OK, so...... yesterday........conspiracy,secrecy, cloak and dagger, and all the rest.

I had a lovely awakening (not for discussion) and a grapefruit juice & cuppa.

We then had lunch, at which I was informed we would be leaving at 2 pm. (for where i knew not).

(earlier in the week I was askes if i had posh but practical clothing - to which i replied "all my clothing is practical darling"....)
I had a bath (it WAS my birthday -nearly !).

I was then informed that "I'm just popping out", so I had my bath, and was busy getting dressed, when my beloved returned with my 2nd daughter (hence conspiracy - he'd arranged for her to dog-mind for the day).

We then got into the car and headed for my surprise. We parked at Gatwick (thinking to self - is he taking me on my virgin flight to see how i get on before our holiday ??)( hence secrecy).

but, no, we then boarded the gatwick express to London Victoria.

from here we got a taxi (i don't do underground or escalators), and i was surprised to arrive at covent garden. my favourite film is my fair lady so i always love covent garden.

after spending a couple of hours wandering the market stalls, we then had a lovely meal in a nice restaurant.

after that, we got another taxi - after making sure i couldn't hear,(cloak and dagger) David told the cabbie where we were going, (i'm still none the wiser at this point !). five minutes form the venue the cabbie said "so you're going to see grease then ? !!!!!

I was surprised, pleased, shocked and impressed !

We had an awesome time and it will remain with me as the best birthday for all time.

and that was just yesterday !!!!!!!!!



TODAY.

I had lots of lovely pressies including bath smellies (from covent garden but not bought yesterday !!), beautiful earrings he'd kept secret since cornwall in august, mamma mia soundtrack album (we saw the film and it was brilliant !) perfume etc
We have just returned from lunch at the greyhound and a couple of games at the sportsman (special meaning).

TONIGHT.

we are off for an interleague match at the schooner.....

I know i am going so i baked a cake............

it's chocolate with choccie buttercream and iced really special.......

so if you're going, we'll see you tonight.
