Here are the fixtures for 14/11/07 :
Handcross Z 5, Watermill A 0 Brewers Droops 1 v Plough 4 St Francis 3, CKRBL 2 Windmill 2 Hurst B 3 Watermill B 1, Brewers Bravos 4 White Horse 1 Sportsman 4 Hurst A 2 Greyhound 3
The nearest thing these days to a majestic performance from the former league champions :
Handcross Z 5, Watermill A 0 Alan Downs 2000, Norman Cragg 1360 Barry Timson 2330, Chris Nikolaj 1970 tommo 4840, Kim Stenning 1520 MrMike007 3030, John Willis 1340 John Turner 2960, John Staplehurst 1580
Seriously, Handcross table still not right, but the home team made the most of whatever luck was going on the night. The Watermill have some good players and will bounce back.

White Horse 1 Sportsman 4
Off to a flying start with our new signing:
Colin Mansfield 2010 Garry Iles 2330
Then yours truly drew the short straw of Steve Haskins against the break
Steve Haskins 2340 Ros 1310
Neck and neck in the next game until the final minutes:
Jim Quin 1220 Gary Foster 1670
Ian Powell 750 Trevor Appleby 1300
Finally a win for Tony Driver against Ben Dutson made it 4 (but stupidly I didn't write the scores in my book, it was around 1700 for Tony and about 750 for Ben)
It is good to be able to report that the change of landlord has not affected the very high standard of food, in particular the chicken supreme sandwiches, also the bacon and rocket both deserve a mention :)

Hurst Club 2 Greyhound 3
A very close match as expected with me just stealing the last game from the Jersey superhero.
Table a lot more tricky than usual but still good and a very pleasant evening was had by all as usual.
Sorry I havent got any scores.

Windmill 2 Hurst B 3 A close match on a tricky top all games went with the break Steve King opened Lynn Storr grabbed one back in a tight second Darrell Skinner made it 2 1 then skipper Steve Smith brought it back against Birthday boy Mr Lear. Which left your truly to play the decider against the Cornish man Mr Mike White. both of us failed to score on our first vist & Mikes luck wasn't with him & I managed to make it 3 2. Top score for the night was 2400.

'Missing' reports - plus up-to-date table, courtesy of Mr Roy:
Brewers Droops 1, Plough 4 Plough widen the gap at the top to 2 points following their win away at Droops. Geoff Parsons and Mark Webber took the first 2 legs before Andy farmer-Wright hit big (5240) to stop the slide. All to no avail as the last 2 legs and the match went to Plough with wins for Keith Potter and Des Gasson.
St Francis 3, CKRBL 2 Kleiners move up to third place despite losing to St Francis at the hospital club. Shaky Coles put the visitors into the lead and in another tit for tat match, Saint’s Peter Geal pulled one back. Peter Edwards put Kleiners back into the lead only to see Chris Little level it up once again. The last leg proved to be the best scoring game of the tie with Saint’s skipper Shaun Morris finishing with a big hit (5120) to take the much needed points.
Hurst A 2, Greyhound 3 Despite a good away win at Hurst, Greyhound still find themselves in the bottom 2. Another of those seesaw matches as Paul Goodwin put Greyhound into the lead, only to see it pulled back by the old fella in the second. Peter Burchell pushed his side in front only to be answered by a big hit (5200) from Dave Ingram in the fourth. Congratulations to Kevin Hall in reaching the last 8 in the Jersey world championships but he left his form overseas as Trevor Rees took the deciding last leg and the match.
Watermill B 1, Brewers Bravos 4 Bravos blasted their way to their first win of the season away to the Watermill New boys but we don’t have the match details.
Team played won points Premier Division Plough 6 6 31 Hurst B 6 6 29 CKRBL 6 4 24 Handcross Z 6 4 23 Watermill A 6 4 22 Greyhound 6 3 19 St Francis 6 2 14 Division 1 Droops 6 4 25 Sportsman 5 3 18.5 Hurst Club 5 2 18.5 White Horse 6 1 14 Windmill 6 0 10.5 Watermill B 6 1 9.5 Bravos 6 1 9
