Thought I'd lift this one off the Worthing board, and throw it open across the Country........................ Also Ian Lelliott told me last night that was his 18th :o Worthing League title. Can anyone boast more in any league around the country? Not me - I have one ;) Brighton title

Sav put's his hand up with twenty four league division one titles in Dover & Deal ;D 8-) Four for the Rose & Crown a long time ago and then twenty for the Alma. Five runners-up in the last six years as well grrrr. >:( Now playing for the BALLS team (Betteshanger Alma Lions League Side)

24 - that takes some beating Sav. Only the likes of Sheardy, or McCluskey/Sainsbury may be close in their leagues i reckon. Checked my Brighton records for the player(s) with the most titles - by my reckoning the Dyke team of Chris Tupper, Colin Smith, Dave Reeves and Mick Winder have 15 league titles at the various pubs they have played at since around 1978.

I think i`ve managed at least 20 league titles, starting in Herts (now defunct), then Oxford & Wallingford. Need my records to be exact ??? - K.T.

Good point! I was only counting my base league. There's a few Canterbury titles as well. Sav

Can't hold a candle to Sav, KT, Sheardo etc, but I can sort-of match Ian with 18 Div 1 titles. But they are spead across FOUR leagues. I bet no-one can match that ! ;) I have 3 Horsham, 2 Crawley, 1 Billingshurst and 12 Mid Sussex Championships to my name ( venues: Brewery Shades, Bell, Windmill Crawley, Green Dragon and Handcross Club)

Don't know how many (would need to have a count up) but I have won league titles with Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Andover and both Reading Monday & Thursday leagues so I guess that's 5 different leagues - sorry Tommo!

....... so if we make the criterion "which venue" rather than "which individual", the Alma of Deal with 24 have this by a considerable margin. But the Windmill Crawley are catching up, with 3 consecutive Billingshurst titles to add to 2 Horsham and 14 Mid Sussex, making 19 in all.

From my records the Temple Farm Club won the league title in Medway 28 times from the 1959/60 season to the 1992/93 season . And were joint winners in 1984/85 season with The Pickwicks. Apart from a couple of changes they had the same team all the way through . I was lucky enough to be asked to play for them in the last two years .

The Alma 'only' won twenty times, the other four from the same team, were out of the Rose & Crown with a year's break when the old Deal league folded and we moved to the Alma in the new Dover and Deal League so yes 24 with basically the same team but not all from the same venue
After my absence in uni from 1988 - 90 and a short break playing just Canterbury, I rejoined the Alma until the team folded in 2004. We then formed the current team which has had a few enforced venue changes with pubs closing. That team went on until the league folded getting ten more championships and eight runners - up.
So I personally had 34 league titles over 51 years in Dover/Deal alone.
Seem to be posts missing in this thread but the old Temple Farm team were certainly exceptional.
