Last night against my dad, I played the table out!
It was the first time in my life that I have achieved this, what a hit too! I got a steady 15,290 and my poor dad had to watch the whole game.
Just wondered when and who against you played the table out?

I did this a couple of weeks ago in the semi-final of the Oxford league singles against Kevin Godfrey at the Dolphin in Wallingford with a score of 22,220

I've only played a table out twice in competitive matches. In 1989 I played the Queens Head (Bolney) table out for 11,210 in a league match against Harold Peacock. And in 1997 I played out the deciding leg of a Mixed Doubles match v John Davie and Terri Newman for 12,990 at the Limeburners. Looks like I'm well overdue for another ! ;)

I did it about two years after I started I think, 16-17000 I beieve. Its another good milestone though well done. I am not one that does it very often, more often in practice usually. For it to happen I would guess for most people it is the same, you have to feel comfortable in your play, the right frame of mind, a good table, not too strenuous a day etc. If it all comes together then it happens, but I am never too worried about it, I have just as many times gone in for a practice and missed the first 1-up :(
Playing out for big scores is IMO for Opens and comps rather than league games, get enough and touch on, particularly at home, the point is vital usually.
I think it was Pete Sainsbury at Reading last year, during a discussion when he made a comment that I think somebody else had said to him. Once the score/time has passed a certain point you are playing for the opposition and he was right, think about it, a very valid point !

Only played the table out properly once. It was at Didcot Labour Club and got 21,560.
Nearly did it in an open once too. Played really well but didn't get the last ball. Played Dawn and got 18k and a bit.
