The Olde House is closing for a refurb during the month of October. It is highly likely that the bar billiard table will not be part of the refurb (stop cheering at the back there!)
I am currently negotiating with another venue in Worthing. The landlord seems very keen.
Dave - in view if this it may be worth moving the Nobby Clark plate semi between the Wellie and the Blue Lagoon.

Thanks for letting us know Paul, shame as we need all the venues we can. Understand table in the Smugglers ( ex Ham).

Just been to the Olde House Tone and spoke to the new landlord. The table will definitely be going so we do need a new venue for that Plate semi.
I believe our new venue will be much better than the Olde House.
More to follow when finalised.

Ok, not the Smugglers/Ham Hotel.......
If I'm allowed two more guesses, I'll try:
2. Cricketers, Broadwater 3. George & Dragon, Tarring
Am I getting warm ? :D

Well I've run out of guesses now, KT, so will just have to curb my enthusiasm for the moment. :o Will have to ask for the Smugglers to be put on the AEBBA map, though, as a non-league venue.

The proposed new home of the Olde House has 4 real ales on pump and is not in Tarring or Broadwater.

After BarneyBear's latest clue, I have great expectations of finding the answer. ;D Very good Tommo. Did you phone our mutual friend Mr Tunstall to get the answer? Hopefully we won't have hard times if we move there and equally hopefully it won't turn out to be a bleak public house when it comes to trophies.

LOL, BarneyBear Sussing your new venue is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known. Lets hope that the worst of times at the bleak old house will now be replaced by the best of times - without the need of a sale of two titties ! ;D

You'll be happy there, as long as you remember that overspending by 6 pence will result in misery! ;)

You'll be happy there, as long as you remember that overspending by 6 pence will result in misery! ;) Worse than that, Ros: The blossom would be blighted, the leaf withered as the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and, in short, they would be for ever floored. As I am! ;D

Latest from the landlord at the Charles Dickens (Malcolm) is that the table should arrive early next week.
Fingers crossed.

Table came in yesterday.
Sir Kt and I had a knock on it at lunchtime and found that the cushions are a bit dodgy (they throw well down). Kevin phoned Tarratts from the pub and they will come in next week to change them. Needs the light to be set up as well.
