Mill House off to a good start against a very strong Dun Horse B side.......
Mill House 3, Dun Horse B 2
Vicky 220, BigJimSilverFox 12,010 (the Fox at his predatory best) BB Warrior 5840, Baby Guinness 1840 (always a tense battle between these two) tommo the inept 2750, Pete Edwards 4790 (good patient 3k break from Pete was enough) Tony Franks 5490, Derek Taylor 2740 (Tony impressive in the battle of the new boys ;D) MrMike007 2880, Jenny Edwards 2240 (battleof the last-minute Subs, the first time Mick has beaten Jenny in three attempts, and for long periods of the game it looked unlikely.)
The Dun Horse B will be there or thereabouts by the end of the season. :-/

Good to be back!
Holbrook Club 1, Stout House BB 4
A welcome return to the Holbrook Club sees the BBs prevail in a fairly rusty match for all. Still, the cobwebs are now blown off!
In order of play:
Nigel 4840 3330 Rick (Langridge) Sam 3700 6390 Ricky Steve 2270 2740 Sam (this pays Steve back for the absolute thrashing he gave Sam last year!) Vic 1400 5230 Dick Stu 1360 3420 Pete
Adam away this week, so great thanks to Mr Langridge for standing in. And thanks to the Holbrook team for the usual warm welcome, banter & sandwiches. Best of luck for the rest of the season!

there is no mention on the score card of a break on Jim's 12k I don't think it was all in 1 break but I may be wrong. I scored that one and Jim kicked off with 7k-ish, then added 3k and finally 2k for good measure. Jim didn't seem that fussed about claiming a h/break, he probably saw that as 'small potatos'. ;D

Thanks Tommo yeah I know it wouldn't be massive & would be beaten but wasn't sure if it was a 12K break or 2K plus it's the high break so far ;D

He did similar the following night, at Alfold SC and on current form must be borderline for England selection. ;) Still well short of our house record, though. ;D ;D Since the visit of the USC, a log has been kept of the House Record on our magnificent acquisition from Sav. It continues to go from strength to strength as you will see.......... 02/09/09 GrahamDaniels 7800 02/09/09 The 'H'itman 8180 02/09/09 BB Warrior 9740 09/09/09 tommo 9840 16/09/09 MrMike 007 11070 22/09/09 BigJimSilverFox 13170 15/09/10 tommo 14480 Jim reckons there's a 20k possible on it for the right player with the break.
