I also hope we can do better than last year (me included :() BUT at least we've got our top ranked player back this year in Steven. 8-) www.aebba.org.uk/InterCounties/2011.pdfIf I remember right last year there were NO trophies for finishing Runners Up ? I know money is tight but I think now we have only two divisions of six that there ought to be trophies available. If there were trophies then I apologise now! Keith :P

Just as a heads up regarding Sunday is that we have 6 county teams plus 6 ladies. Start time will be 11am registration for 11.30 start. Finish time should be around 6.30pm After the third series of county there will be a 40 minute gap to play 3 ladies matches (who arer playing a league round robin) - that means of course there will be 6 tables free but will be no quicker end to the day if county games were being played at this time, as the schedule is designed so that both competitions are completed at the same time. So no complaints please...and enjoy the interval (which will be around 3 - 3.40) See you Sunday......

Congratulations to Oxon A on their victory yesterday, great finish to the day with Phil and Leon winning 2 of the last 3 games in the final series of matches to clinch a 4-3 victory over Sussex A and win the title by just a single point. 8-)
Commiserations to Sussex B who were relegated, again by a very narrow margin although Martin Smith won the highest break award on the day during one of his victories. ;D
My thanks to Dave Alder and his team of willing volunteers for all of their hard work, the Post Office Club for their hospitality on the day and for Sav for the brilliant job he has done refurbishing the tables which all played well on the day. 8-) ;D ;D

Excellent well run day.
I am going to moan about the tables as I told Sav, very very sadly they were all either excellent or very good, even the infamous number 1 which was absolutely superb. Why am I moaning?? cos now I have no chance of drawing a great player on a duff table ;D which means skill instead of more luck, which I totally rely on !! Suppose I will have to learn the split shot now, oh no no no, not Mr Chris trying to teach me :o How do you do 4 cushions to get a split shot?? can anyone show me before he does ::)
We stayed up by 1 point, very close at the end with Sussex B just missing out. Well done to Oxford, yes Keith that does include you too :-*
Thank you Nobby for the excellent bar and also I think we must recognise how reasonable the coffee, tea, rolls and hot food were. 50p a roll was absolutely excellent and all other food and drinks on a par with this price ;D

Didn`t you take out 4 times champ on table 3 :P The majority of the tables were excellent, numbers 2 & 3 got trickier as the day went on. Well done to Oxon for the title and well organised by Dave and his team as usual. ;D
