The penultimate table!!! Nice table, filthy slate again Wooden surround in very poor condition, loads of filler on this one, shot is out of focus, but lumps out pf it all the way around and slate overhangs the surround which may make stapling awkward. Had my first ooooops with the cloth on this, put first few staples in, got hold of a fistful of cloth. gave it a good tug and rippppppppppp :( :(. Can only think there must have been a nick in it. Good stock of green dusters now ;D ;D Sav

Table one at the seniors and Mixed, played superbly.
Reminder to AEBBASec to check the right hand fifty ball run as balls were sticking when allowed to build up.

Surrey Open
I noticed the ball was sticking in the right hand fifty again, from the din being made by someone doing their best to smash the underside of the ball tray into matchwood :( >:(
Next hire is Northants, could you please take a look and see if there is an obvious reason why the balls are sticking in the area of the bar. Please ask players NOT to let the balls build up in the right hand fifty until we can fix it and there will not be a problem.

I put my hand in the fifty rack in the tray - it felt like the balls were trying to fit through together - maybe the return rack is slightly wider than the others or slightly loose. they were jamming in together and just need a jiggle for them to come out.

That's what I'm expecting thanks Colleen.
There will be either a dent in the lining on the bottom of the run or a lump in the side wall to trigger the bridging
The problem is easily avoided by not letting the balls build up in the right hand fifty and only made worse by smashing the underside of the table.
They can easily be dislodged by a push up the fifty trap, even my hands are small enough.

The balls are bridging on top of each other in the right hand fifty, not sure why. The tray divider is loose which does not help. Needs a brace glued to the tray to brace wall and prevent bridging.
Once again I heard the ball tray being bashed from underneath.
Organisers please ask players not to let the balls build up in the right hand fifty until we can fix it, the balls can be reached from the front.

Ball bridging problem believed caused by incorrect alignment of the base tray, repositioned this at Bournemouth and no problems all weekend.
