Lewes played Eastbourne last night, due to Lewes bonfires and all that.A good close game with all games going with the break until the 6th with Derek Taylor taking the decisive game,Dave Knight holding on to win the last and give Lewes a 4-3 victory.

Worthing D beat Mid Sussex B 4-3 at the Hurst Club tonight. :) Unfortunately I don't have scores to hand as clever clogs here left his paperwork behind at the club. Ian however will be posting the scores later.

Wait for it...............Worthing A 0 Worthing B 7 ??? Bit of a shocker to say the least for the A team last night at the Elms. Well done to them and especially Bill Kerr, who was the only player to go in with a winning score, against me :( Every other game had chances for both players but it wasn`t to be our night. We`ll try to put the record straight in the return match ;)
Worthing A Worthing B
B.Holt 5280 N.Brown 6460 I.Lelliott 5420 D.France 6850 KT 1610 B.Kerr 8400 M.Spier 3710 P.Barnett 5420 N.Higgins 2560 B.Richards 4350 R.Taylor 2490 P.Oakley 7550 M.Smith 4040 G.Ridley 4310 (last ball game)

We had a tough match in Tunbridge Wells with the result going in our favour 4-3.
Scores as follows
Bryan Stevens* 8630 - 9680 R Dewdney Doug Phillips 260 - 17580 N Senior* Martin Leach 2230 - 16040 G Lloyd* V Mitchell* 13400 - 1930 S Mariner Ian Wright 10060 - 1730 R Wooton* Martin Russell 3540 - 7530 C Reeves* Pete Sainsbury* 13500 - 1460 C Tupper
A really good match , Rick Dewdney chased down a 8300 opener to win by 1000, touching up with the bar gone.
Nige and Gareth went off like they usually do.
Vinny Mitchell went off with 1000 , Steve made about 1500, Vinny then got the balls back and made another 12k
I missed my second split and got punished for it with Ian making enough on his first attempt
Reevesy pegged a 5k opener and the tide seemed to be turning but he got them back and touched on 7k to secure the match.
No Tupper time in this match although Pete went off with 1k and left Tupps a chance, Tupps missed a 50,10 split, Pete got the break back and killed it off.
A really good night and great food, Corned beef hash and chips !!
Bit of a hangover today !!
I look forward to the return match !!!

See the table is as good as ever by the scores, and the landlords Coned Beef Hash is certainly memorable.

Fantastic matches all round.
Almost makes me wish I'd gone to spectate one of them as Redhill's game at Horsham was called off.

Mid sussex B 3 Worthing D 4
Paul Jobbins 10390 Andrew Clevbland 1440 Alan Downs 350 Adam Squire 4940 Ian Giffen 130 Gary Iles 3890 John Lear 1410 Helen Brewster 2050 Trevor Rees 9480 Mark Senior 2680 Dave Ingram 1400 Dave Anscombe 1780 Darrell Skinner 4860 Chris Cox 1200
Worthing D are a good team made up of experience & up & coming young players which is great to see & I wish the all the luck throughout the season. Adam played very well & should have scored at least 8000, we unfortunatly fell apart in the middle 3 legs as I foolishly pegged a 3500 break & John put the break down 4 times but Helen also played very well. The 6th was a tense & close game between the Dave's who both needed the win. A big well done to Paul & Trevor who performed supurbly. But it was still a great night enjoyed by all. ;D ;D

Brighton C 4-3 Mid-Sussex A :-/
Sorry I do not have the scores but several of the games could have gone either way including the deciding last leg, well done Brighton C.
