I know I said I'd leave the report to Sir KT, but they gave me the card. ;)
Worthing A bounced back from recent adversity with a good win against Redhill A at the Old Oak. In a strange match in which four frames were won against the break, Sir KT clinched the match in frame 6 with a chanceless display.
Redhill A 3, Worthing A 4
Geoff Jukes 610, Neil Higgins 3630 (Jukesey uncharacteristically spilled what should have been a winning break) Jason Wadsworth 2190, Ian Lelliott 6670 Gary Powell 7180, Martin Smith 3590 Terry Oakley 820, "Dipper" Taylor 9610 Laurie Roberts 7870, Barry Holt 3620 Dave Constable 0, Sir KT 16,110 tommo 8580, Mal Spier 690
Well done Worthing, this result could now kick-start your season. And to demonstrate what a nice guy D.C. is, he was determined that I should get a go this time, and sacrificed his own game instead. :o :-*

A great night at the Windmill, with plenty of banter, entertaining bar billiards, finished with a mixes fare of wedges, cheesy jalpano peppers, thai fish cakes, chicken goujons and chilli sauce dip.
Thanks to Redhill C for a most sporting match and condolendces for being on the end of a rear gaurd action from the hosts Worthing C.
Game One. Gina Sherratt with break against Sharon Balcombe. Gina off after 450 thinning the one up to miss both balls. Game continued in bits and pieces with Gina keeping her scores and Sharon making visits a plenty to the white pegs. 5630 - 770. 1-0.
Game Two. Tony Cross with the break against Edge Butler. Tony started well but off at arond 1.5k. Edge break back only to miss ball by 100 hole. Tony first back in and made sure. 400 - 6480. 1-1.
Game Three. Dave Jones Redhill version on break against Rick Cunningham. Dave strated well only to peg opening break. IN his own words Rick reckoned itlooked as though he hadn`t played the game before. Unable to take advantage and Dave built 5K break to ensure victory. BP -7060. 1-2.
Game Four. Saw Steve Aylmore with the break against Martin Green, Steve pegged opening break, Martin built a 2k lead, Steve back in only to four time break at around 2k. Martin made sure on next visit. Steve managed to get it going at end. 2880 - 5830. 1-3.
Game five and desperate measures needed by home side. Plan B meant TJ had to take his chance against the break vee Keith Wilkinson. Keith started with just over 1k, TJ retrieved the break and touched up at 10030. 10650 - 1620. 2-3.
Game Six. Saw away captain Richard Plaw with the break against Worthings Dave I can`t play with the break Jones. Best game of the evening saw Richard open with just over 4k, Dave replied with 6220. Richard played the table out to fall just short of the target. 6220 - 5860. 3-3.
Game Seven. Arthur Brewster with the braek against Graham Holman. Tense decider with both players deciding to loose scores that could have swung the game. Arthur eventually running out the winner 4100 - 2410. 4-3 to Worthing.
One very proud captain in the fighting qualities shown by his team and the excellent attitude shown by Redhill. A very amusing game of doubles played to cap the evening.
Apologies to Redhill at the lack of real ales and bitter, but this is out of our control, at present we are monitoring the situation to decide on futuer playing plans.

Worthing D 3 - 4 Billingshurst
A match with plenty of twists and turns with the advantage changing hands more than once.
Game 1 Adam Squires 7060 Mick Johnson 1260 A good 5K+ break kept Adams unbeaten Interleague record. 1-0
Game 2 Andrew Cleveland 330 P Phillips 9630 Andrew found himself well out of his depth in this game. 1-1
Game 3 Helen Brewster 2480 T. Temple 40 Once again Helen plays a steady game to win her second Interleague game. 2-1
Game 4 Bob Thomas 3550 Ding Johnson 3680 A good start by Bob but Ding came back well and leave Bob with little time to get back and he fell short of his target. 2-2
Game 5 Dave Anscombe 3380 S. Eely 2980 Tight game this one. But yours truly just scrambled over the line. 3-2
Game 6 Mark Senior 1780 S. Holden 2960 A game which not a lot went right for Mark. 3-3
Game 7 Chris Cox 1590 K. Newman 3020 A very unfortunate game for Chris. Going well on 4K+ when he 4 timed. Match to Billingshurst. 3-4
Good match played in good spirit with plenty of banter.
