Mid-Sussex A 2 Horsham 5
Dave Ingram 5,550 - 1,930 John Miller Andy Farmer-Wright 4,870 - 5,530 Steve King Derek Taylor 930 - 7,590 Peter Gibbs Henry Brooks 17,490 - 390 Lee Cable Richard Jeffrey BP - 6,220 John Slee Lorraine Hall 1,010 - 8,710 Vernon Sparks Pete Edwards 3,040 - 4,540 Dick Cable
A terrific opening 10k from H, who came back for another 7k to record a personal best. ;D
Enjoyable evening, plenty of banter from the Horsham boys (for their own players! 8-)) on their way to a deserved victory.

Having looked back through the old Interleague records, H's score was the 2nd highest ever recorded in Division 2, beaten only by Tony Jenner who hit 17,690 against R Marsh at the Windmill in 2005/06 Season.
Barry Holt is the only other player to have reached 17k in Division 2, he has managed it twice hitting 17,390 in 2001/01 and 17,000 exactly in 2003/04.
Well played H! 8-)

Worthing `A` 4 Redhill `A` 3
Another close match between these two teams, all hingeing on one break game.
Neil Higgins 13,040 Jason Wadsworth 520 - Flawless 10,400 opener from Neil giving Jason no chance. 1 - 0
Martin Smith 70 Laurie Roberts 11,870 - Laurie opened with about 6k. Martin had the one chance to retrieve the balls but failed to do so. Laurie added another 5k. 1 - 1
Sir kt 1,430 Geoff Jukes 7,880 - I don`t think it would have mattered which game I was against the break in, it was always going to be against Geoff I think. He opened with 5k and then caught a split too thin and pegged them. I got them back almost immediately but came off after I missed my second split and went up the table. Geoff got them back first and killed the leg. 1 - 2
Tony Lewis 8,720 Clive Thompson 1,920 - Tony didn`t get much of a chance in the last match against the B side but made up for it last night, opening with a steady 8k to level the match once again. 2 - 2
Mal Spier 2,890 Gary Powell 10,690 - Mal (still suffering) didn`t get a look in as Gary went in with 8,500 in about 12 minutes. 2 - 3
Ian Lelliott 7,870 Dave Constable 6,120 - This was the crunch game :P DC opened up with 6k but Ian cleared the balls to virtually play the time out with his score 3 - 3
Roger Taylor 12,370 Paul Reece 1,220 - Roger kicked off with 9k giving Paul no hope and giving us a good victory. 4 - 3
We play Lewes next in the re-arranged Home game on Dec 7th.

Brighton B 3-4 Littlehampton, Winners Were:- Paul Olver Alan Messer Eric Hampton & Steve Beach (on the last ball) Runners Up Were:- Hayley Tunstall Jason Clough & Dave Hampton. An excellent result for Littlehampton against a very strong Brighton B side topped off by a rather nice Shephards Pie. Thanks Albion for a good evening

Eastbourne 4 Mid Sussex B 3 Colin Southouse 4260 Bobhall 4200 Gary Sweeney 880 Adam Bateup 6180 Stewart Chant 4320 Paul Jobbins 2480 Roy Jenkins 1550 Iang 1690 Lee Callott 3620 Trevor Rees 3150 Chris Turner 1880 Darrell Skinner 2930 Nigel Pead 4050 Ros Appleby 750
Went to see the Eastbourne team in their new home, Nice venue & Table was a Jelkes & a very smooth cloth very much like the Stadium back room, Bobhalls game could have gone either way with both players betting the break back quite a few times. Againg PTG played very well coping with the reverse break & roll to get to the best of the night 6180. :D :D

Lewes 2 -5 Brighton A
It was a tough night for keeping hold of your balls at the Bridge, but Brighton A emerged victorious. I am sure one of the two captains can provide the scores

BBW. I will of course send you the official score card later I don't expect you to update the website from my post. BTW are you close to getting the website back up yet not hounding just curious ;D I have all the outstanding information ready to update the Sussex Website, however the current Ranking Point System is under review and I am waiting until that is completed in case there are any changes to enable me to put everything on there correctly....... rather than put things on there and then have to change it all again! ;D Once the new Ranking Point system is completed, will be in a position to load the following onto the Sussex Website..... 1) Watney Mann Results 2008 2) County Championships 2008 3) Final Ranking Positions for 2007/08 4) New 3 Year Sussex Rankings 5) Interleague Results, Averages, Fixtures & League Tables for 2008/09 6) Historic Overall Interleague Records for all 3 Divisions 7) Sussex Mixed Doubles Results 8) Sussex Masters Results and anything else that I've forgotten to list here!! ;D

A good evening at the Flying Scud, with both teams generally making the table look harder than it was. Excellent spread at the end, good company and plentyof banter. Pity no Guinness on tap, never mind made do with g and t.

Result amended, forgot I won the last, maybe the g and t kicking in or the shock of me winning being too much.
