This match was brought forward a week due to holidays.
Worthing `B` 2 Worthing `A` 5
B.Kerr 5,320 M.Smith 4,210 G.Ridley 3,620 R.Taylor 8,570 P.Oakley 6,940 I.Lelliott 3,540 D.France 4,200 N.Higgins 8,030 M.Squires 3,430 B.Holt 9,640 D.Mahy 220 Kt 11,110 N.Brown 3,780 M.Spier 8,360 Game 1 - Bill kicked off with a 4k break. Martin had the balls back twice but couldn`t overhall Bill`s score. 1 - 0
Game 2 - Roger only opened with about 1600 and had a bad kiss. Gary got them back and built a 2k lead. Dipper got them back twice more to level the match 1 - 1
Game 3 - Ian broke off with about 2k. Phil made a steady 6k+ to put the game out of Ian`s reach. 2 - 1
Game 4 - Dave France next to increase the lead, only he didn`t, coming off under 2k. Neil retrieved the break and set up a 4k lead. Dave then set about chasing, with time enough left, but came off 2k behind. Neil finished them off. 2 - 2
Game 5 - My next "home" banker came off on about 1300. Matthew got them back and took a slight lead. This time Barry made no mistake with a 6k+ break. 2 - 3
Game 6 - I opened with a 10k break and touched on. Doug lost about 3k in reply. 2 - 4
Game 7 - Nick off on about 2k. Mal won the point with a nice 6k break. 2 - 5
Nice to turn the tables on the B side after our 7-0 drubbing at home, but it does probably give the title to Brighton A. Good evening & nice food as usual. ;)

Worthing C 2- 5 Littlehampton Good win for Littlehampton on a tricky Windmill top, wins for Dave Simmonds, Steve Beach, Hayley Tunstall, Alan Messer and a very lucky win for Dave Hampton after Aurthur lost his winning break after the bar had dropped. A very enjoyable evening in great company sorry to Worthing C if we were a little loud!!.

Loud was good in otherwise morgue like conditions - Well played Littlehampton.

Just echo Ricks` setiments, well played Littlehampton, plenty of banter and sure we were giving back our share of noise ( at least I was ).

learnt last night that present landlords leave nexy Saturday and the understanding is that the pub will remained closed until a manager is put in place, hopefully our table will be moved out this week to another location, will let all know once firm arrangements are in place.

That's Bad news TJ The Windmill has been associated with BB for a long time. I really hope you find a new venue very quickly & one that you will be happy in. Maybe you'll be back when things settle down. Ian.

Yes hope at least a table goes back in and that indeed a team does play from there. It is hoped where the table is going will be a permanent home, for future seasons. The venue has been used before and had many an enjoyable night there in the past, at present do not feel comfortable naming the pub until all is in place.
