A quick note to let you know that Worthing B won today by just one leg from Worthing C.
It all came down to the last match with Worthing C holding a 3 leg advantage and therefore needing just 6 legs from the final 14 available to take the title. However Worthing B proved just too strong with a 9-5 win.
Top performers of the day were Terry Molloy and Bill Kerr with 8 wins from 8. Jim Greensted put in a high break of 13k+
The Roffey Club was a good venue, thanks to Jean for her help today and Richard for setting up the tables before we got there.
Hopefully will get a full set of results soon so everyone can see them - will probably get Steve Mariner to put them on the Sussex website
Good luck to the Div 2 sides tomorrow.

Thanks to Jean and Nigel on a well run day, to richard for setting up the tables thatset a very fair challange. Well done to Worthing C on their win and bad luck to my patched together team who put up such a valiant effort. Good venue, shame the burger van let them down, put plenty of shops close by, good luck to the B teams today. Just one point as I rarely get to say this but believe I had the high break with about 14,700 against Gina in my last game, and well done to Jim on his break achievement. Nice to put some more faces to forum members. Lastly congrats to the two unbeaten players Bill and Terry.

Sorry yes Tony, your 14,700 effort was the top break of the day, I went on memory on that one and forgot you got that in the last match, well done.
Should also say well done to Caroline who made a 9,300 break, which I believe is the sussex ladies highest so far this year.

It is true - I am Minky. I'm a bit of a lurker to be honest. I pop in every now and again. I did win the award for least amount of posts one year in one of Glenn's 'Award ceremonies' I think I won with 4 posts in one year!
Caroline
PS - Thanks for the thanks. Gutted I left the split near the hundred which kept me away from 10k but hey - can't win 'em all. Just happy to have found a bit of form.

Great time on Saturday and Congrats to Worthing B who only pipped us at the post by 1 point :'( In fact the result was in doubt right up until the last 3 games which made the whole day even more entertaining. Thanks to bigtj for helping me get my team together after two of my players had to withdraw for personal reasons. Thanks also to Nigel and Jean for a well run competiton. :) :)
